How long are your fingers?

I have it mapped to Q (3 button mouse = fail), though when loosing a gun, i face a trip to the controls pannel in the settings, all while under heavy fire.

Not very. I just move my hand. My index finger can stretch to 7 while in the standard position for flying..

But I can't figure out how the hell to set weapon groups!

Tutorial please?

To set a weapon group, just assign the 'activate weapon group #' to a key (on your keyboard or mouse), to get the weapon groups to fire specific weapons, just turn on or off the weapons that you want that group to fire.

O.o

TOO COMPLICATED!

Incorrect.

It is very simple.

Edit: made some adjustments

I had 5 buttons mouse, jsut for freelancer. But I found out my old 3 buttons mouse is more usable. Perhap I bought a wrong mouse... or Im just too used to that all mouse im using for about 4 years.

Hmm.. "I tap 7".. but for just taping 7 there is no aiming cross?

Ha ha I got 4 weapon groups on my simple titan ;D and there is nothing difficult to use.

Go to controls, user interface, and scroll down to the bottom. Set "Activate Weapon Group 1" to 4 to your number keys 1-4 respectively. 4 is enough for fighters and bombers, some capital ship load outs might require more.
Now, in game press 2 and set your SNAC to this weapon group, set your MR to weapon group 3 and CM to group 4. That works for me with all my bombers.
Always remember to select weapon group 1 before you dock, and if you die with any other weapon group selected other than weapon group 1 you'll have to reset that group.

The advantages of this is if your opponent blows off a piece of equipment, it doesn't move your SNAC down from 7 to 6 or whatever. Also, it helps you aim your SNAC better because the crosshair will adjust to compensate for the slower projectile speed of the SNAC.

I have my SNAC assigned to a weapon group all on its own. That group is assigned to my mouse wheel button, not a number. Easy. Don't assume someone is stupid just because you fail to understand what is being said to you.

In fact, looking at your last post you seem to set things up exactly as I do.

I didn't imply you were stupid. I was asking how you set up your buttons. Your previous posts seemed to hint that you didn't use weapon groups at all, so I wanted to know.
