Trust me. You'll get tired of being called a lolcap because you traded for your Battleship with an alternate character after a couple of months.

Maybe try a cruiser? They're cheaper, and you can get a really nice one + 700 mil armor for the 1 billion you wanted to spend. Because if you only spend 1.1 billion, you'll get taken down by most things with cap 8. And if you want to look at -that- endgame, that's 700 mil for the ship, plus 890 for the armor, plus 50 million for guns... then there's the problem of continuing to trade for re-supplying it.. its an endless cycle.

The finish line gets further and further away the closer you get.

Reading Silverleafs postings are always... "interesting" to say the least.

I play eve online as well since november 2007, and cash in the wallet is nothing that a corporation should be measured by. The really productive and really astounding corporations actually have rather slim wallets, but have much worth in assets. They only have the reserves they really need.

But back to Freelancer; On one hand you say you want to be all for yourself, to grind the money trader wise to purchase a battleship. (( The lolcap statement already has been made, ironically)).
On the other hand you want to create a faction for yourself.
On one foot you want to reach endgame, but don't realize that there is no such thing as endgame in this setting of Freelancer. Not within this mod. This completely leaves me baffled, because you should already know because of Eve online that "bigger" is not "better" and a Titan is not considered "endgame" by any means... so this brings me to the conclusion, that you actually have no idea how and what Eve online REALLY is.
On the other foot you're wanting everything on your own, but not only that, you want it for yourself.

I actually don't see any evidence that you grasped the concept of roleplaying, nor did you seem to have grasped the concept of "teamwork".

With all that controverse stuff, please answer me a single question; what exactly keeps you from playing singleplayer mode?

Honey, you need to realise this is not an MMORPG. There is no grind, there is no end-game. There are no classes, no roles, no parties, no instances. There is only roleplay.

It's not your gear that earns you respect around here, it's how well you roleplay.

I can't wait for you to buy your battleship. Hey, I'll come poke you with a Barghest swarm, then you'll be asking yourself why you ever thought it was worth power trading for. I just love smashing 1 billion credits worth of equipment with 50 million credits worth of Barghest. Ah... the sound of broken dreams...

Freelancer is one of the games where you define your very own endgame situation. Be it an independent battleship, an epic story of some character or being a high ranked member of a faction, you decide it.

Besides, the level is only defined by your wealth and doesn't affect your gaming experience in any other way than having loads of cash.

Then I'll attempt to rape that in a liberator.

Ahh, I just love smashing 50 million credits worth of a barghest when I could smash it with a 18 million liberator...

As a side note, his Battlecruiser, which he claims to be piloted by Freelancers, earns very little respect after saying it was going to go to Malta and rape every child and woman, in that order.

SilverLeaf, I really would suggest you stop with this nonsense and join a faction, find somebody to teach you what exactly this server is.

I know, it rocks xD
If you can do it with x4 magmahammers you get a hi-five. For extra points, try solo four or more of them.

It is up to you what you would like to do . . (everyone has their own opinion and ideas, and that is a good thing)

So, you are trying ways to be more productive in earning credits?

Well, lets start with your trading, are you using the most profitable trade route that fits your RP? Perhaps you can talk to other players and find a better one, or make a separate trader or smuggler that can make more money . .

Mining can make some credits too, especially when you work with other players as a team. different mining fields produce different profit like the trade runs . .

To me, those are the best ways to earn money here, and don't be aggravated if you feel like it's gonna take forever to get that ship you want...

Patience is a virtue, as they say . . and they are right . .

Hang in there . .

Well, this thread surely explained a lot of things I saw in your previous posts...

I won't repeat most of what was already said here, but I concur with those points. I'll add a few more bits.

1) Factions probably won't decide if they want to accept you depending on your wealth. None of the factions I'm in asks for that. In fact, they don't even care about that.

2) You probably won't be able to join a player faction with the cruiser. I'm not sure how the [LN] does it, but usually only exceptional cases are allowed to do that (some indy cap that played spectacularly well alongside the faction for a LONG time). You'll most probably be required to join in the basic rank with a fighter/bomber.

Bai! I don't support an attitude like this.
