Most LFs I've flown felt too weak in the firepower department. Now the Kingfisher , THAT is an awsome ship:P

Light Fighters are weak in fire power, but they don't need to kill their opponents quickly because they can easily evade all incoming fire.
If you're lacking fire power, try x4 Magmahammers or Firekiss or equvilant hard hitting weapons.

Sea serpent, while being weak in terms of firepower has a very good "shape" If you want to dodge from left to right, it is perfect.

Scimitar was nice, yea. I had one, dunno what happened of it though. Same for the Liberator.

I also had a Hessian LF, but the MR is too consuming, you gotta wait for the energy to replenish itself (after using shield busters) before shooting.

Most light fighters are really weak in the firepower department. Only way I could win was mineing them to death and blowing up mines with mosquito disruptors.

My vote for best lf is on the tigershark or the scimitar.

I couldn't really handle the low firepower and sadly all of mine have been sold as of right now. They're fun and good as all-deb support machines, and are a real pain in this capacity, but obviously you can't really kill anything like that. A sunslayer/starkiller or razor on the loki makes this about bearable, but the loki is big and can get razored pretty easily itself, which puts it straight out of the fight. Basically I just find them stressful. Whenever you have your shield gone, you're really vulnerable. it's like jousting a bomber, only all the time, forever.

From my point of view most LF's and HF's are just worsen VHF's.

Silly then one of the LF's turns slower then few kinds of VHF's ... doesnt?

For example, strange then Sabre VHF is more agile then Gladiator HF.

Or Griffin a "LF" with HF's hitbox.

Yea, like I said, I hate strafing up and down, so the sea serpent's shape is nice. On other characters I might be able to try out different ships though, I always liked the Wyrm and Hussar.

I think more fighters could do with that forward firing turret, seems those that have it are the only ones people like using (other than the loki and nomad LF for obvious reason... aka torpedo slot).

And as far as mosquito cruise disruptors go... I use those on almost all of my fighters/bombers, I like them better than train CD's for some reason.

I have a Hammerhead with a CD and a Cannonball I use to make bomber pilots cry. It's very good at that job.

Certain HFs and LFs are extremely good at beating people from behind. The Gladiator isn't, but it has a lot of muscle in its own way. The Bulldog is the same way.

Light Fighters - darthbeck - 09-07-2009

i like using my libertor to kill bombers. it takes forever, but it's loads of fun when they realize that i just CB'd their thruster and shield generator off....

Light Fighters - Drake - 09-07-2009

I love my Hussar, and can actually be pretty useful when Hobart doesn't mine me.
