Yep it will be abused, and yep, i dont feel like writing a whole name(eg. some LR names tend to be quite long) during a fight.

Stay out of the group chat. Yo really, things are things, rp are rp, what touches interactive with other players yes. But I like sharing my daily stuff in game with ma friends or sometimes talking about things which doesnt have anything in common with the game.. We gather here to have fun, and if that is fun for us, and we dont ruin other game with it, its nothing wrong.
