Credits limit - Cannon - 09-26-2009
It depends, if you're lucky the anticheat system will only kick you.
If you're unlucky, your character file will get corrupted and then it'll need to be deleted. Recovery is often not possible.
The actual limit is based on the total value of credits, cargo, equipment + ship. This must be less than 2147483648.

i dont play much anymore, when i trade i get bored too fast, anytime i get onto my corsair/bretonia/xeno, nobody is on. not one person EVER. so i got really bored and i dont play much anymore. i havn't even seen that much money in all of freelancer... (i think)

The number is 2 to the power of 31, i.e. the maximum size of a signed 32 bit integer. Freelancer stores credits in this way.
Yes you might be able to have a starflier with this on it - but are you willing to risk 2 billion credits to find out?
