Damage of BS Primaries was doubled, with roughly doubled power consumption. That way you can have less primaries for the same effect as before and equip a few special guns on the free slots. Equipping full primaries won't be so useful as before, it will drain your energy too much.

i like the changes they made for transports.. a lone bomber pirating is not the same anymore.

There is no emoticon to describe how much I'm laughing at you right now. SNAC not vital to killing capital ships? Okay.. go kill a Battleship with your fighter. Now picture this: If we remove the SNAC the only way to kill a battleship is with another battleship or a swarm of cruisers. So... What's the point in flying anything less than a Cruiser if someone in a cruiser is just gonna come along and pwn you?

It is an issue with dodging. It's that you're not doing enough of it. Jousting's for nubs and you'll end up getting SNACed in the ass by someone with more skill than you.

The bomber is just more powerful than before. His efficiency against cap is better and it still kill others bombers/fighters with the SNAC (it's a bit more difficult but still relatively easy).

Bombers still teh sh*t.

First off: I with new torps instead, bombers will be just as useful in taking down caps. For instance, get a nice shield buster torp to take down the shields. After that nova the thing to death. With these new bomber guns you will be fine. I guarantee it.

Secondly: I am not talking about jousting for the love of god. In fact, the only times I remember being snac'd was in friendly duels and one or two fights when I was a total nub. I see others in fighters and bombers being snac'd all the time which is the problem.

Hello there.

I am pretty newbie here, but something that never made much sense to me in this mod are the shield busters.

I see shield busters making only 2x more damage than a normal gun of same class, and using up more energy.

Infocard on bomber EMP gun was about 1250 damage on shield x4 per second = about 5k shield damage per second.
Infocard on bomber hull gun was about 625 damage on shield x4 per second = about 2.5k shield damage per second and using less energy.

With theses values I find that using just hull blasters will be more effective and more energy efficient.

The same thing goes to gunboat weaponry (only tried 4.85 gunboats before update).
I find it a lot more effective and energy efficient to use all basic gunboat turrets +1 or 2 cerberus than pulse cannons (GB pulse has shield damage efficiency of 0.14 as for basic gb turret has shield damage efficiency of 0.17).

Since most weaponry drains energy pretty fast, I inflict a lot more damage hull blasters than with pulse guns.

I wonder if I am the only one that thinks overall pulse guns should do AT LEAST 5 times more shield damage than same class hull blaster.

PS: Is SNAC infocard really correct? It states 132k hull damage, but a rogue GB with no armor upgrades, is supposed to have less than 100k hull, only gets about 60-70% hull damage from my SNAC hits.
EDIT: Previous SNAC energy was about 29740, which makes it comparable to compact particle gun blast (good energy efficiency)
