FWolf, I agree with you entirely on the RH Battleship. Despite this, I fly it and have been quite successful with it in the past. My senario was that the newer players just look at turrets and armor, forgive me if I sound just a tad pessimistic.

Now, if you want fighters and such... Just fly with the police. RM, while technicly in command, won't tell you what to do outside of (player) attacks on Rheinland or if you're doing something outside of the established Rules of Rheinland. Let's face it, with all the pirates starting to pop up in GBs and Cruisers, the least we can do to help out with the RFP is let them use the Wrath, possibly even the bomber.

The main reason I'm touchy about people tagging as RM is that it's an easy way to ignore our structure and just get whatever military capital ship you want. Then, because you're in a position of authority, you can just about do whatever you damn well please. Regardless of your RP and such, the chance of that being abused sticks too largely in my mind.

As for denied requests... Nothing I can do, buddy. As said, the police could always use a hand. And I, for one, won't care if you have a Phantom or a Wrath. Even a Bomber would be pardonable. A battleship, however, is a little harder to ignore.

Or...

Perhaps it's time to revisit, once again, ad nauseum, putting the "big muthas" in guard systems.

Make em do the work.

This would also make it hard to "steal", "salvage", "kludge together", etc., for certain parties.

(BDR, we know you walked into Yokohama and bought that Kusari BS. But, RP away.. can't wait to read the tale.. and see how you use it. If no one goes to war with you, will it sit and rust? Heh.)

Gettin' too silly now. Apologies.

Where were we?

Oh, waitin' til the wee hours to sneak on and d/l beta 5, that's right!

Continue with the reports about this Kvasir character. If deemed necessary Admiral Krieg or I will deal with him. In the mean time, inform him that THE Rheinland Military has no record of a Kvasir and if he wishes to continue his unknown existance, then he will have refrain from attempts at controlling Rheinland systems. Also inform him that he may be eligible for a position in THE Rheinland Military. However, he will start at the lowest rank, of course, and be given a fighter.

Alright... Notice here that I never once say we would be limiting him OTHER than he is NOT allowed to control Rheinland systems. That is what the [RM] tagged people do. We control the system. Nowhere did I say he cannot have that ship, he cannot align with the Rheinland Military, not even did I say that he could not scan traders/anybody for contraband. I said that Kane and I would deal with him as we see fit. That means if he screws up, he becomes a traitor of the fatherland, and to be destroyed on sight (with the rule-required warning, of course).

Now, beyond that... I don't have much. I know where I am limited by the "law." However, that does not give this person the right to run amuk in Rheinland with no knowledge of the rules ([RM] rules). That makes him a rather unpredictable loose-cannon that could go off at any time while aimed at anyone. Now, when that happens, who has to clean up the mess? The [RM]. We would rather not annihilate him with a pair of battleships and a whole lotta support. Instead, it makes much more sense to take preventative measures and try to either A) get him to join [RM], or B) assure that he knows our rules and is willing to follow him. If not, well then... We either come down in the RP-approved method or inform the admins if he went against his RP status (A.K.A. killed a lawful with the Rheinland Military ID equipped).

... If anyone can argue these points, please do. I believe they all have sound reasoning behind them and are within the limitations of the rules. (If not... I need to sleep...)
