But, I really don't think that you should sanction or ban people. That's arrogant and rude. Besides, can't you speak another language instead of making everyone else learn yours? Not to sound jerkish, it's just the Hammer of Just.

Yo hablo espanol e ingles... por que no habla una otra idoma tambien?

My native language isnt English dude, i 'had; to study English, and im still studying it for almost 10 years. (Still sux btw)

Ah, okay, I thought you were another arrogant ... person.

In any case since it isn't your first language, and you can understand the frustration. We just need to cut them some slack. The rules in my mind shouldn't be so black and white. What's wrong with a little German in Rheinland, Japanese in Kursari, Spanish in the Hispana galaxies. Nothing and it extends RP. What's better than the original? Nothing.

Though they definitely shouldn't spam it, and be able understand English. Or at least bring along a translator. I hate getting the cold shoulder.

What you mean by this? Even if this thread was created by someone, whose english is native language, there wouldn't be any difference. Why they are marked arrogant by you? It isnt their fault, that their native language became the most simple and most used language on earth.

I dont feel any frustration cos, when i first started with online playing, i was able already to communicate. As for:

Quote:What's wrong with a little German in Rheinland, Japanese in Kursari, Spanish in the Hispana galaxies.

There is nothing wrong with that, as long as they can speak english. What is it to us, when german talks in his native language even in Rheinland, when there are international players playing there as well? What is it to us, when you are in Hispania, and someone refuses to respond you, and even when he do, you see azbuka in System chat?

Actually, part of this issue is that English is by far not the most simple language around. It is difficult to master, and even hard to get a grasp of.

Where you come from and what you speak makes immense differences in your ability to understand and be understood.

Perhaps he is mentioning the arrogance that some people feel when coming here that manifests in the belief that they don't need to learn English to play, and can do whatever they want.

This is also not realizable. If you say to yourself: "He cant talk in english, then he will die" isnt that violating of rules too? And what if you meet some faker, which you will kill, and he will report you as engaging without Engagement notice on RP basis?

Rules are in english, server is in english, chat must be in english. Hence the rules say. If he cant read english he certainly hasnt read the rules, and thus probably isnt following them.

Well, I understand the problem, but right now, I'm gonna use this method to escape:

"I don't speak your language"

Then, get away. It's gonna work, trust me.

You guys are right almost every new name I see or every ship with a weird name the are non English speakers . One solution is to Display the message that 'this is an English server and you have to speak English ' In multiple languages as soon as anyone logs in.

No its not. I play in two factions where i cant allow people to be there even they dont speak english. Non english speakers are making it harder only.

I say again: There needs to be some kind of system where you must enter a password to play. Even if it's only ONE TIME, and you acquire the password after you register on the server, we need SOME WAY to make sure that Non-English speakers don't get on the server.
