Iridium - Tabris - 10-14-2009 Ok, there's lots of Miners and their getting lots of money. Remedy: Bring a large group of Pirates and Tax them all to Hell. Problem solved! Now kill the ones that don't pay and feel better about yourselves. ^_^ Iridium - Horon - 10-14-2009 ' Wrote:I detect either sarcasm or someone who's behind the times. Hey! Just because I tend to stay away from Lolberty doesn't mean I am behind the times. Iridium - Navycross28 - 10-14-2009 ' Wrote:Welcome to advancement and development. Areas are scouted all the time for new places to mine, welcome to Freelancers fronteer. So there are transports now shipping irid, its part of the mining rp, where there is miners there are transports, its the life line of shipping and mining, soon the pirates will come, (quicker now that this thread has been posted) and commerce trade and battles will ensue. I think this is great, it brings life to a system which has been ignored, and more opportunities for rp to develop. /Signed I've been telling people to mine there since explorers first found the Kansas system and only now do we get miners there? Bloody hell. Yes you can use the Alien gate (and sneak into Penn system) with a frieghter, but would be nice if they add some kind of npcs (nomads?) to prevent people from abusing this. ]NTF[ are mad since thier "little" secret is out. If these pirates had any brains (which is rare), they would tax these non-talking miners with a transport nearby. When the miners fail to speak, nuke them and collect all the ore from the dead miner and sell it in Newcastle. Iridium - Rudo - 10-14-2009 I am one of those guys who ignored EvilSpock here. A certain Junker faction is going to be enjoying the relative isolation from prying eyes and house forces to ply some of the darker aspects of their trade there. It's only a short leap from Puerto Rico, after all. Iridium - Durandal - 10-14-2009 ' Wrote:/Signed From an in RP aspect, yes. From an OORP standpoint, you think we're actually mad? Annoyed maybe, but not mad. The thing is, to remain in RP we would not want the said miners flying around our base, which means we're either going to get rid of them or make some money off them in the process, which is actually rather annoying. We are -not- pirates, we're radicals and explorers, and dealing with these miners is eating up time better spent furthering our roleplay. Iridium - Egon Bigmemes - 10-14-2009 Quote:Did anyone consider how long it takes to fill the 5k tranport Took me 20 minutes to fill up my Pirate Train. EDIT: With a Smuggler ID too.:D It drops 1-15 or some crap. More than 8 sometimes, I know that. Iridium - Corsair - 10-14-2009 I know I'm getting tired of "Tax or die". ]NTF[-Gresham Edit: We're most annoyed because now we've been labeled lolwuts and pirates. Which is NOT the image we want. The titles have simply been pressed on us ever since we tried to enforce the roleplay surrounding Junction Wreck, and it's already put hostility into some people's views on us. Again, we are NOT intentionally pirating the miners. The Devs just happened to stick a highly profitable ore field inside the same system as the wreck we chose to make our home. Edit 2: When I say 'intentionally', I mean that we didn't form the NTF with pirating in mind. Iridium - Linkus - 10-15-2009 Please don't nerf another source of money. Why there is this insane drive to stop people making money I don't know. The 'lulwuts' will still get their battleships, other folks will just end up not enjoying their game as much. Iridium - Shagohad - 10-15-2009 I don't think you people get what we're saying. We DO tax them. We DO kill the silent ones. We DO RP when we DO this. What we want to know is the logic behind iridium in Kansas. This is merely a coincidence in my eyes. Would you intentionally put that here knowing the NTF claimed it? If miners still continue to mine as we tax them to hell, that only shows how stupid they are! We also don't allow anything larger than a gunboat in Kansas. It keeps things safe. ]NTF[-Ryder Iridium - reavengitair - 10-15-2009 I mean, why mine this crap when you can powertrade? Its just... unreasonable? Anyway, I've never tried it here. |
