Solaris Turrets allow you to make an anti-fighter Battleship -- Like the Missle Destroyer from Homeworld....except of course, Solaris do not spew thousands of heat seeking missles.

There are a lot of cap spamers.
They mount a lot of Solaris BS turrets and easy killing bombers, but more hard with BS's.
If Solaris will use lower energy and would be long range, all will ride BS's and nothing else!
Cap Spam doing big lag and I, for example, can't join the fight from any of my ships.
For now Solaris use a lot of energy and have small range, so I think all good in that stats.
Bombers must take BS's, if it would be changed, bombers would be peace of scrap (bad vs BS's because they have super-solaris, bad vs fighters and bombers because the can't mount MiniRazor or missile or guns which want)

The Energy drain is avoiding Solaris Spam. That you can just fully mount those and go rampage on little Barghests. It's the same as the new Transport Turrets Type 4. If your energy drains too fast, then you have too many Solaris Turrets.
