Yeah, I remember when I first came here, she took time out of RP time to lead me around Discovery in her [Phantom]Onyx char, and answer all my questions. She even taught me how to PvP.

Unfortunately, Just because supernova is banned, doesn't mean everything is ok. If you guys want to make everything better you need to smarten up and looking more closly at what you type and when and everyone needs to be smarter.
I personaly fail to see how everything is gonna be fixed, cause it wont.

I think for the majority of people here, it makes things alot better. Maybe it wont solve all of the communities problems, but the tension he was causeing was destructive. So it was probably better for him to be out than in. This is an observation, that everything he does causes somthing to happen somwhere. He doesnt particularly annoy me, but from what i have seen and how he manages to piss off many of my friends, its probably better for him to have left.
I agree, there are serious flaws in this community. For one, because the community is now completely divided over this topic, this exposes how fragile it really is. To be honest, i am no vet, and i take all views into account when making my opinion. The way i see it, the people newer to this community dont have a clue what Supernova has really done...or they have flawed understandings of what has happened. I have been on the end of one of his rants quite a while ago and it does feel bad. Its not hard putting that behind you, but it is hard to do so when you are being bombarded by it everyday. When you come home from school or work, you just want to relax. The way i understand it, people dont want to deal with more stress after comming home from stressful activities. They want to unwind, and Supernova, from what i hear (and have been on the end of) makes this impossible to happen to some.
You accuse "vets" of using supernova as your scapegoat. You are however using "vets"as your scapegoats. I know for a fact that Cay did nothing wrong. The fact that her friends try to support her you see as being bad. Thats not on. You have friends that you would support if they got called names for no or a very trivial reason. You would support your freinds. Why cant we support our freind then?

I went to bed at midnight last night. It is now 1:50 PM. I am at school, reading up on this.
Almost 14 hours, people. 14 short hours, and there are three pages in a brand new thread and multiple threads elsewhere. All of it, with due respect to all invovled, is flames and counter-flames. Some earned, some not.
I have been here, with disco, for about two and a half years now. Two and a half years, ladies and gentlemen. Yes, I am a 'vet' of Disco. And I have to say, in those two and a half years I have not seen much change in the mod community.
The mod itself has progressed wonderfully, make no mistake about that; it is the people in it who are wearing on my nerves. I love the game, what I am beinning hate are the people in it. Two and a half years of flames, wars, vendettas, and genaric one-shot clans or PvP orientied-groups. Ladies and gentlemen, I am tired. I'm only 16 (Aout 17), yet I'm beginning to feel more and more like Admiral Krieg over in Rheinland who was probably around when the Sleeper Ships landed or something. OK, maybe a little less then 100 years in fact, but not by much.
*Sigh* What happened to "It's just a game," huh? What happened to honor, or integrity? Where have the days gone when we could fight, blow up eachother, and then say "Good fight!" at the end? I don't know, but I really don't like where this train wreak seems to be headding. It may not ever crash and burn, but it's one heck of a bumpy ride.

Those days are still around mate. I may be one of the insigators or several of the flames but I have remained with my good will towards everyone on the server when it comes to meeting each other in-game. Ask the IND, who may believe I have a Vendetta against them, but I every time I have engaged them there have always been friendly words and good spirits all around. Its just up to everyone to reaiilse that we can recover from all this bitching and stuff and we can be the community that I knew when I signed up on August 17th, almost a year ago now.

The bumpy ride is partly my fault, as i left things to go too far this time. As I said on another thread, had I listened to the community instead, this would not be happening right now...
Now, cheer up you all. Drop all those "i've left, bla bla" slogans. The bane of discovery is gone. Thing should go uphill from now on... And if they don't, i will push things uphill myself...:P

Your right... We can go back... Back when I joined Disco on August 26th (Day I made my account on the Bs| forums and started playing on the server) there was none of this sh*t.
Ya, there will be a few problems trying to put things back to the way it was... It will take some time. But hey, I'm in for it.
