edit: but yes i agree lawfuls are weak compared to pirates, but that may be a result of most of the liberty ones being lolwuts.

Hmm... no really... I was referring to the "RP scenario"... From an RP point of view there is no point at all in having corsairs camped in front of Fort Bush. Think about it, if the corsairs faction would be able to stand in front of the strongest liberty fortress without fearing any harm... why they do not just invade liberty and install some kind of dictatorship? They would be so strong that liberty would have no chance to oppose them. Really, in front of Fort Bush is not a RP-reasonable place to pirate ships. And since 99% of the time pirates do not take seriously the RP issues the only solution would be to equip fort bush with weapons and NPCs strong enough to kill any pirate gunship.

Come on... it's not about fighters, gunships or whatever ship... it's about roleplaying. There are RP-reasonalble places to pirate, like in the middle of tradelane using trade lane disruptors and places that are not reasonable, like nearby a fleet of liberty capships.

Anyway... go and wote the poll! Are lawfull NPCs far too weak?

Uhm yea, sort of, I guess...

Iam personally for two changes now, first is a new 'rule' I already posted somewhere else...

' Wrote:Iam for an other 'rule': No capship from Gunboat on and above without a posted forum entry, may it be a biographie of said char or a story relating to said ship.
Admins would just have to stamp an 'approved' on that ship and add it to a public seen list for registered capships.
Any capships not on that list get beamed to Bastille and kept on hold there untill a biographie or story is posted.

And second is to remove from -every- unlawful ID card that demanding credits is allowed.
Shall them get themselves an associate as hauler and pirate for cargo.

During my patrol in the Rheinland System, i rarely see any unlawfuls. But when i see them, they dont seem to harm anyone and mostly want to fly to somewhere else. It is extremly rare, that we have to fight against anyone and i like it this way, since this is also better for me and my crew.

I dont know whats up in Liberty, but since they send lone siege cruiser to hamburg, i think they cannot control their system.

LAwfuls thats funny. Never enough, always tons of pirates. When you meet luler navy patrol of 4 VHF without armor upgrades, you just cry. And then a OC funboat wit cap VIII. Cry again.
pirates + lawfuls are in Liberty almost exclusively. Bretonia, Rheinland and Kusari are mostly empty. Seeing Kusari lawful fighting off pirates is RARE sight, really rare.
ANd on bounties - Lawfuls aint even getting paid by the factions so they are not hunting. And if you have a blanket or ingame bounty, people threaten you with sanctions. Why cannot we put a bounty - every pirates OC hacker whatever is worth million dead. You wouldnt see anybody hunting them anyways.

Lawfuls turn pirates cos there are more pirates than lawfuls.

Lawfuls turn pirates cos they can earn more money.

Lawfuls turn pirates cos they get more freedom.

It's a cycle which everyone hates.

The point is: 98% of lawfull in Liberty is coherent with RP... 98% of unlawfull in Liberty... is something not coherent with RP, according to my opinion. That's all. Having stronger lawfull NPCs in Liberty would help to solve the problem? According to me, Yes! Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right... discussion is open...

The Mc Donalds Company is waiting for the 98% of unlawfuls in Disco, but it will avoid the 0,12517256 % remaining because they use battleships full of primaries.
