Also, have a firing group set to your CD. Allows you to keep typing while still being able to CD your target.

I have Never liked HALT! For 1 there is other player's around at time's,and cannot be sure it is you they are talking to. Second. there is almost always NPC's around(yes i know,not speaking to them) and a good RP player could be just demanding the NPC's to HALT!. But all in all it scream's lack of imagination,and RP. For every char that just yell's HALT! i do run for it,and if/when caught up to and fired on, i will just screen shot away,and just sit there till they are done. Let the admin staff try to convince them HALT! in not a demand on this server.

Thanks everyone for making some things clearer for me. You reminded me, between other good things, how many lousy RPers there are on Disco.

FIrst off, I explained this in my post that got deleted.

I was already half way docked with the dang JG, and i just engaged cruise when i got to the other side, as Halt is not a reasonable demand. If you want to personally attack my RP, and my characters please note I have been around much longer then your Joker CHaracter, And my RP is quite lengthy and does not entirely rely on PVP.

If you had ever payed attention, Jinpo my indie DSE trader, rarely gets harrassed by pirates, because I overpay for safe passage.

If i truly wanted to have lousy RP, I would go create a LOLCAP with liberty navy guard ID/IFF and lolwut your character with my friends every time I saw you log on....maybe I should, show you just how lousy RP can be Eh? Ill make it Errant.VentureLOLKILLER hows that sound?

Shall i post the screenshot for all to see? The time stamp is quite clear, either way you hash it, you fail, you failed, and now you needed to run to the forums to rally support for your ego. How bout this, every time I see your characters, trader, or main, i will amass a fleet and kill you, and go back to my Errant.Venture ways hows that sound...that will surely fix this problem, and show you how i deal with personal attacks...hows that sound?

Seniority does not equal superiority.
I would name names to exemplify this, but I'm not the sort of person to do that.

If you're so good with roleplay, why couldn't you actually stop to roleplay with the Joker, instead of running when you heard "halt?" That's not specifically good roleplay, especially if said pirate is in any position to threaten you - which I imagine he was, given that you ended up exploding.

And, if you're so good with paying pirates, that's even more of a reason that you should have stopped and roleplayed with the Joker instead of, as I understand, simply running away.

Solution: Request a terrorist ID.

There no use whining about losing your turrets, simply purchase some from a very friendly weapon dealer who only cares about profit, profit and more profit.

Ok lets turn this into a bash on errant thread, like so many in the past.

I was autodocked, I'm not gonna stop, especially not when hes pounding my ship as Im autodocked and can do nothing.

Second, I was 7k away on the other side when he got through, and he hadn't issued a demand until i was already docked, he was chilling next to a trade lane, and it wasnt shooting him...thats cuz he repfixed so they dont. THe base in front of mojave didnt shoot him either.

3rd, I was running my last run of ore before I passed out, as I am in the states. If he's such a good rper, why did he just type halt? why does he lolwut around in liberty in massive groups? why does he rp with lolwutters in NY, thinking its RP? WHy would he rep change so stuff isnt hostile to him? Why would he put cap 8 on a tridente? why is his rp so pvpish?

who knows, the point is, he got sanctioned, it was a righteous sanction, and I have several witnesses to said incident, he had plenty of time to type rp, as i said, i engaged CRUISE, i was hoping for a chase, and some decent rp, if i wanted to just silent trader him, i would have taken the trade lanes, i had plenty of time to do so. Maybe he should have engaged cruise, and started typing, its relativly easy to do.

the fact that he took the trade lane, then literally just blew me up, shows he wasnt interested in RP, as much as he was pvp.

with that, Before i do something stupid, i am leaving, i have to go register for the next semseter of college...

Ohh...maybe because his character cares about living and has heard how this guy doesn't make demands, just tractors in escape pods and takes victim's fingers off one by one. That would certainly make me not want to stop. Or you know, characters, who supposedly have real feelings and emotions behind the ships.
