mission money - Panzer - 06-10-2007 Well, today, I took my Nemesis on a little trip to the Omegas. And since omega 15 is my favourite there, the choice was obvious. In there I encountered a 500k mission against red hessian sabres, in a nebula. VERY sadly, Hessians don't fly the ships they've constructed. No caps on it. But real hordes of these sabres. Later, took me a little mission against the corsairs. had them a bit too friendly ^^. 300k, somewhere around lv 30... And boom, I've got 5 Osirises charging into me. Really, This calls for changes. Missions against capships could go into millions as a reward, since they are almost impassable for lone fighters. I mean: Killing only fighters pays off better than destroyng battleship fleets? Seems a bit out of logic to me... mission money - bluntpencil2001 - 06-10-2007 Remember, in Gamma, the Corsair missions against BH destroyers aren't too hard. Their engines are basically a giant blind spot. Get in close. mission money - Othman - 06-15-2007 I had a gb some while ago and was trying to do some missions against the bhunters and corsairs in o-15. Well, one day i took 2 missions. First one was against fighters and since i was using a gb, it did not even take a minute to finish the mission and the pay was likley 500k. The second mission was told to be against corsairs and the pay for the mission was nearly the same around 500k. What I saw was 4 osiris in the first round and it took nearly 4-5 minutes to finish them off. When i finished them i thought that the mission was over but o.o another target spot revealed on the nav map. There were more corsair ships to finish off. And wow another 4 osiris waiting there in the second run. This was really boring and it nearly took my 10 minutes to finish the total mission. 2 missions paying nearly same money, but one is completed in less than a minute or so and the other one taking a hell boring 10 minutes. I agree that missions against the cappys need to pay more and i also think that the missions against them should be informed in the mission info. It is nearly impossible for a fighter to finish the cap missions unless he has a nova mounted on the torp slot. mission money - Eppy - 06-15-2007 I really think we need to make all the missions outside of Ub3r-n00b space worth at least two million a crack. I was nailing Bounty Hunters in Alpha about a month ago (Last time I got to play (cries)) and it took me half an hour and a death, because, in my one Saber, Versus six Bounty Hunter Cruisers and twelve Hammerheads, TEH WORLD SUCKS. I can't kill the Cruisers because the minute I pull in behind them and start shelling them the bloody Hammerheads blow three hundred Buckshot rounds into my port wing, costing me my precious IRON HAMMERS every now and then (EXPENSIVE!!!!!111eleven), and if I engage the fighters I forget about the Cruisers and get swatted out of space by missiles. Damn countermeasures. So yes. MONEY MONEY MONEY. Might bring back team play on missions, too. I have NEVER once seen that used. mission money - Lt.Cmdr.Olsav - 06-15-2007 I agree, mission that have caps be like 2 mill, as i took a mission in alpha and same thing, one wrath versus half the main BHG fleet, about 5 cruisers and a squadron of fighters. for 300K. not economical and well, i never have a spare 3 hours to finish them all off when i dont have torps, and the fact is that if you go after the fighters the cruisers missile you, and if you take the caps you get shot up by lvl 19 npcs. basically there should be ones designated as capship missions. mission money - Othman - 06-15-2007 The missions against cap ships should also be informed in the missions info section. Just like assasination missions are informed or destroy installations and etc. This is much more important than the money raise of it. Because it is a total waste of time and money and/or reputation for a fighter to return back or abort a mission when he understands he wont be able to defeat the cap ships when he gets to the designated target. And this is really annoying. People should have the right to know what they will face. mission money - Eppy - 06-15-2007 I think they have to change the hardcode for that. I'm just saying no less than 2 million for any mission that can't be finished in a noobflier. mission money - Caribe - 06-15-2007 Yea and always remember never to do anything other than an installation killing mission on a trader other wise this happens: [attachmentid=2565] Korrd I still thank you for taking them out. No trader can survive that ... basically I dropped out of cruise and my shields dissapeared. mission money - Qunitinius~Verginix - 06-15-2007 Hahahaha, I remember that picture. Were those Sabres or Stilettos chasing you? Anyways, I will say this again, that the high lvl missions available for all factions should be on their guard bases and they should offer 1-2 million credits upon completion. They will not be easy to beat, but they will make fighting actually worthwhile a little bit more. Verginix out mission money - Caribe - 06-15-2007 Both actually. I was thinking: "Hmm I would like to get a Kishiro tag, let me blowup a few outcast bases." Then I go: "Hmm my sheild can take about 4-5 outcasts, let me do that assasination mission." I go in and I start fighting about 5 Stilettos. Then the guy I'm supposed to kill runs off and I end up with 5 Stilettos and 4 Sabers. Then things get uglier when a patrol of Sabers comes in and now I'm the one running. While I run more and more come in and I'm going: OMG I'M GOING TO DIE! Eventually I ended repeating a Mayday signal in that system but um noone was around. Then Korrd comes in he is a few systems away and I offered 10mil to kill the guy im supposed to kill. He starts blasting away outcasts. Lets just say he got about 15 kills before he got the guy that needed to die. Outcast had about 22 fighters after me. Then a little after that Korrd says: "You tried to do an assasination mission in a Train!?" (That about what he said). Then of coarse he mentiond I had a navy tag when I was supposed to be nearly neutral to them ... Now just to stay on topic: That mission was worth about 30k ... |
