If it could be made idiot-proof, it seems it could work anyway.Idiot proof ? *looks at the amount of sanctions the Admins have to process on the serverdesktop* Right.. I'll get back to ya, the week I see that the Admins haven't had to process any sanctions at all. Just promise me you won't hold your breath untill then. I hate seeing people turn blue and purple. In game recuitment based on capturing pirates and assorted criminals, anyone? Bounty Hunting - ArmsAndLegs Guy - 01-06-2010 ' Wrote:Hacker.Yes. And proud of that heritage. Made me a lot of money as well. Definition 3A. ' Wrote:We were down for a week with no sanctions.Lies. All Lies. The server was not up, in order to protect majkp's business, therefore sanctions were not processed. But there were sanctions waiting to be processed, and they were processed, as soon as the server was shipped to DK and brought online here. AND the same day, new violations were reported. Thats my point - You can NOT make anything idiotproof. As soon as you think you have made something idiotproof, you can be sure someone will invent a bigger idiot. Simple, sad, but true. A & L Guy Bounty Hunting - Akura - 01-06-2010 Fine, you win A&L guy, you always win. You almost as cool as Mark Gormley. Try to attack bh npc's in front of any police force. Police won't help them out. Anyhow, you can do this already. I think. Just find a pirate who will try to surrended witout trying out his luck. Besides. To be captured is lame. I doubt that even good roleplayers will like this happen to their characters. Bounty Hunting - Boss - 01-06-2010 ' Wrote:Yep. I can't sing as well as he can. Bounty Hunting - mwerte - 01-06-2010 game mechanic, if there was an empathy rep connecting the two a lot of junkers/quasi lawfuls wouldn't be able to go near lawful bases, because the instant a BH NPC shows up, everything else turns bright red. To make this on-topic, it's a nice idea, and will work with the RP oriented pirates, but the ones just here for the lulz will just ignore you/keep shooting/force you to blow them up, so keep 'blue message' bounties still valid. Bounty Hunting - kuth - 01-06-2010 While I do think the thought was in the right place, it cannot happen inRP really. Do you think the Liberty Navy is going to free Phate if he ever surrendered to them? InRP he wouldn't be able to play anymore, if he did he would be OORP. Unless the LN, Phate, and his buddies RP'd a prison break..... My point is, giving up means you loss your character until such a time as you can RP his release, not something many people are up to do. Though it forces more RP. Just my .01 of a dollar. |
