I think piravate forums per faction kinda strips the fun of disco, it's like RPing in private chat to one person rather than system chat. It just doesn't feel as good. Nothing really needs to be hidden about message dump oriented thing and such that can't be said in a PM. I say we show the rest of the forum how *insert any disco faction* does it.

The junker congress has one. I hate the stupid thing, but some of the faction members swear by it.
To me it just promotes an isolationist attitude and an 'us and them' mentality that I've been trying to do away with since day one of taking this outfit over.
It also means I have two recruitment threads to keep an eye on instead of one, and that discussions and RP ideas are batted between faction members without the needed opportunity for input from community players who are not in the faction but might be impacted by the outcome of these discussions.
To top it off it inhibits people who come into discovery and have the congress as their first faction from integrating into the community right away. To me, this really should be the only forum any discovery faction should use. With skype, it's all anyone really needs.
Seriously, it makes keeping track of recruiting a huge hassle. It has its uses but nothing that can't be replicated here.
