well, now I sold it again (just too boring in Gallia to be honest) and atm 500 million cash on my richest char.
3 days of trading to get that battleship, it was a real pain in the ass.

Well, Fletch, you should still have an APM trading ship, complete with torture dungeon, somewhere in your stack of ships. Go forth and pop a couple of trade runs, or hook up with a miner and haul their goods for them. (That'd be the perfect way to get a lot of people involved - couple of BHG| pilots for escorts in RP, and it'd all be good.)
As for personal wealth, I try to keep about 3 - 5 million on each of my characters just for re-arming and sundry things. I've a couple of ships with 150 million plus on them at the moment.

Mako, Cap VI. Granted, I also have a Bullhead with Cap VI, a Thresher with Cap V, and other assorted toys around...

Biggest ship I've EVER owned in Disco: Argus BC (and then, only for a unique RP, as it's a Zoner ship with IMG approval)

I havent traded much in ages, although I HAVE been makin money via piracy (that PTrans char paid for itself w/o outside funds.... infact I've used it to fund my other chars....... THANK YOU IDIOT MINERS IN KANSAS WHO CLOAK AND GIVE ME FREE LOOTS!)

Having little cash is a good thing, it shows your still sane and have enough of a physical life to not have the time powertrading. In all my time here i've never earned more than 250m at one time. And even then i'l spend it on a bunch of smalls I won't have time to play on.
A galleon isn't a requirement for sailing.

True, Ive started with nothing three times (counting when I first joined the server back in 08) and lost it all due to the innactivity wipe twice.
While the powertrade grind to get the stuff is annoying, it's great fun and RP if you do it with freinds, or run into pirates who actualy RP.
