I just dont see any reason to fly a nomad ship nomad are red too all fractions so any pilot flying one must either be a traider to human race or a POW that has been brain washed either way KOS from all Fractions
If, for the sake of argument, we were currently a space-faring civilization, & there was an alien race w/ superior technology (& it was availible for human purchase)...those ships would be a common sight in ALL the human systems.
In recent terms, let me ask:
If I had the $$$ & wanted to buy a car... would I not consider a Volkswagon just because I'm not German?
Or not buy a Ferarri because I'm not Italian?
Would I be considered an American traitor if I didn't buy a Ford or Chevy?

Tbh i don't really mind if someone wants to RP a nomad, a few have done it pretty ok, by calling your self Nomad escort 1 or something along those lines, they used the coalition ids and xeno tags.
What really gets me annoyed is when its just some random dude wanting to go around in his uber nomad ship, with NO care for the servers RP.
Get my point?

I personally think All people who fly nomad ships should be treated as terrorists, as Nomads hate Human guys. And, so far, there are no conversions of a Nomad ship so that a Human can use it (Unlike the weapons, which have some conversions for them to be mounted on human ships *cough* Das Wilde *Cough*)

Well, I've read all this and let me tell you: I fly nomad ships and I'm very proud of it. I have RP backstory and continue to play the role in game and in message dumps. In short, for those who do not want ot read full RP, I play role of a human/nomad hybrid, who has found the refuge in HF. I belive with more effort it is possible even to RP a nomad, although that would be a difficult one.
Saying that "nomad ship is out rp" is saying like you cannot imagine someone keeping up the role, however it is not the case, and so far I've been able to keep up the role without any problems. Some were confused but many also found it fun and played along.
And here is my opinion: whatever the role you pick you have to play it to the bloody end, no matter if it is a trader alt or just anything. Just follow the rules and don't abuse 'em.

First of all I think nomal humans cannot fly nomad ships, these ships are way too alien. I also don't see a player taking a role of a nomad, we know too little about them from what the original game provides us with. However a hybrid character should be able to.
Just for the record: I'm not a capship spammer, I fly nomad light fighter and nomad gunboat. Although I do own a battleship I have never used it in action and not going to, for now.
I belive the problem is not the usage of nomad vessels, the problem is that some people buy nomad battleship and think they're cool. Such people don't care about RP whatsoever and I don't see a reason why they should be playing on the server anyway, no matter what ship they use.

I personally am just thinkin towards the FL story line in how the weapons were adapted to be used in Human ships, but the Noamd ships are literly part of the Nomad pilot, therefore techinchally cant be piloted by a human. There are no conversions of a Human pilotable Nomad fighter yet, maybe next mod.
EDIT: I have no problem with players like you, Treewyrm, as you actually explain why you have the ship.

I didn't read all of this as it's on the edge of flames, I'll try making it clear.
Ou = Outcast, Dessy = Destroyer (a lot of people use the word on the forum)
Now, Nomad ships/IDs: It's really hard for us to decide as being a Nomad can be abused as PvPwhoring (the last aspirants to the nomad ID were having a personal vendetta, completely out of RP, against another faction, when they saw they couldn't do that, they disappeared, they weren't existing even till the end of probation period). The same goes for the Wild.
When you people start behaving, I'll be the first to vouch for you but so far anyone being allowed to have a shot at such RP was only causing trouble. Also, would you keep your reputations as they should be - Red to everyone? I doubt it. Besides, we don't have Nomad bases yet, we're working on it.
So far, only three people have Terrorist IDs and they're long time players and proven their role-play. We have yet to see about the new players.

If the ship is available for purchase by a human, then, it would go w/o saying that the ship has "already been converted" & 100% within RP.

thing about the nomad ships is that they are biologies, not technology...
it would take some sort of surgury to pilot a nomad ship...maybe domestification....
each ship is an animal, having a brain...also, helps if you think about a nomad's cargo space as more of a stomach...imagine trying to feed something that big.....
