I unno, it would allow devs to clean up the internal code. I.e. Kaichou's (GMG Bomber) internal nickname is still dsy_taiidan_vhf.

Heh, people are always so scared of player wipes and everyone starting over.. It really isn't that bad. In the one player wipe Disco has had so far, I had more fun in the following two weeks after that wipe than most of the time I've played with my bazillion assets.
Money isn't everything, and it isn't needed to have fun either.

True, but even though I have a ton of money and a sweet line of ships i wouldn't really care if their was a wipe, some people would freak out. I think personally though in a year or so we will have to do something, the game deteriorates once everyone is millionaires.

Most likely within ten years the Next Great Space Game will be released, and people will drift over to it. Like fashion - it always comes back around again.
Discovery will either be disbanded, or ported over to it.
Pretty much the same as a player wipe...

Wasn't that following the 4.7x Mod that totally screwed the player base cause of changes? I can't remember.. it was back in 2005 I think wasn't it?
I still remember those chases Angel and I did against you back then.. Total fun in Eagles.
