So what is the point of this?
To avoid character corruption because you have to much cash on the character? That is your own damn fault. Just make another bank character and store the cash there. Jeez.

As far as I can gather it can potentially mess up the server too. I seem to remember a corrupt character messing with the server as per Cannon's thoughts - I don't know if that corruption was due to this though.
And yes. It is VERY easy to end up with 2bn. I don't like the idea of having 3 banks...

edit: or do it like I do, spread your money over several chars you are actually still using. so you don't have to log your bank accounts too. Oh, or buy Cheetah thrusters.

This will definitely fix the corruption of a character due to too much funds.
On the other hand, I can't think of a disadvantage of doing this. It should work if everything was divided, prices of ships, equipment, commodities. Shouldn't be too much balancing to do, since it's just removing the last number from every price.

All prices are affected as well so the purchasing power of your money is still exactly the same. The only difference is that you have one less 0 on the end of everything.
