As I said in PM I am up to help in anyway I can. I think that hosting preliminaries for everyone to get some practice in each event would also be good. Gives time to work out the kinks as well.
@ AC_Merc= I love the clay shooting idea, but who's gonna volunteer to be the star flyer pilots? LOL
I really want to make this work as I've been contemplating the idea since the first week of playing as Evil_Joker. =)

As for the air show this was the idea I sent to Korrd in pm. (he requested I post here for all to see)
ME: That's awesome. I like the idea of an air show maybe do both singles and doubles like ice skating where they preform graceful maneuvers and a panel of judges decide who wins. Races are always great and the different kind of battles are always great. You have my support. I'll be willing to help in any way I can.
Korrd: An air show to demonstrate piloting skill will be the toughest part. I'm still unsure how to coordinate all the ships. Maybe by using a music theme, and practice. A lot of practice.
Me Again: Maybe let the participants choose their music, send it in to the judges ahead of time and prepare their own routines individualy. Judges would base scores based off of coordination, difficulty of stunt, and overall performance. I dunno just a thought. As a build up I could host preliminary rounds. Kind of like the world championships that are held before the olympics.

How will you get the music to play? The only people who would hear it would be the people flying.
But all in all, this is a great idea! you could have a last man standing race, where like ten people in VHF's race around the minefield track in Conneticuit, and the last one to surviving wins! Horray!
If the RM enter, I will be siding with them for sure on this.

Well that's why they'd send the music to the judges ahead of time so they can all have it. It's not a perfect science by any means, but I think it's prolly the best we can do.

Misconception.
The music is not for the people to hear, neither it is part of the demonstration.It is for the pilots to help synchronize their maneuvers with the rhythm of said music.
Like using the drum or trumpet to help synchronize the movements of an XIX century army.

ive had to go into minor several times with a starflyer you just get dock raped by Nomads which means you would just have people waiting for other people to go though to distract the nomads then follow them and thats not a fair race.

That is avoidable if you are careful enough. I've been almost everywhere on a starflier without dying. The only places I have not visited are the guard systems.
