no no no i dont mean refire, refire can only go as fast as your frames persecond.

i mean the VELOCITY the speed in wich it takes to reach its target.

What if you make that a negitive number as well?

Administrator Cannon - Tortured_Soul - 10-25-2007

Neg One for Muzzle Velocity stops the functionality of the weapon. It doesn't fire at all, looks like velocity has to be > 0

Well since I don't know about this I wouldn't be able to tell you, however implying negative velocity means going in reverse and there for the shot doesn't leave the weapon. Therefore it would imply that you shoot yourself rather than cause the desired effect. Which in turn leads to loosing the weapon and part of your ship in the process.

Now try it on planet manhattan.

Unfortunately the game designers made a not-fun line in the ini files that makes bases indestructible.. And no, I don't think Igiss will himself, or let me, make bases destructable.. No fun.:(

Though if you want to get a 'sneak-peek' to what it looks like to blow up a base, shoot the biodomes at Livadia Shipyards in Omicron-74. I tested it and no server messups either. Don't think the NPCs will go red either.. And you better hope they don't, because you'll have some problems (especially in the up-and-coming version..).

Administrator Cannon - Tortured_Soul - 10-26-2007

Bases can be made destructible, there was mod that allowed you to do back in the day. Can't remember anything about it other than there was a HUGE amount of debris left over and it crashed my Single PLayer game.

I do remember there was a note in the read-me, that it worked on a server too, but crashed if someone was docked on the station when it was blown up.

Administrator Cannon - Knucklehead - 10-26-2007

It does beg the question, what happens when you blow up a planet?

Administrator Cannon - gezza999 - 10-26-2007

You can't blow up a planet in the mod... that would leave a lot more debris... I had the mod on for a bit but I got bored of it.. blowing up stations gets tiresome after a while... And why is this so far off topic..?

Administrator Cannon - Dab - 10-26-2007

That point about the server crashing if there is people inside, is exactly why Igiss would never make bases destructible.
Oh and btw, Planets can be blown up. Never did it to see what would happen though.

I was scanning the admin's fighter when I noticed that he mounted several Administrator Cannons. Obviously, these things must be powered by unholy arcane energy (probably kitten blood and puppy souls, combined with the hearts of baby seals) capable of downing a dreadnought in a single salvo . . . But still, I can't help but wonder what the actual numbers on the things are.

Also, perhaps, seeing just how frighteningly powerful these weapons are will *ahem* discourage rule-breaking. Although . . . that would assume that habitual rule-breakers actually read the forums. Har har.

kinda goin a little off topic...but if u want to see some admin cannons/guns only admins can use...check this video out: http://youtube.com/watch?v=7-Vy9jz8kgw
