When it first figured out what columns to put on each weapon class page, I was told that putting hull/shield/energy per second would just add clutter and was unneeded. That changed once they realized that I was generating all the numbers automatically from the inis, but I do have to agree with the side that raw efficiency would be too much. Already you almost need a widescreen to see the whole table, this would make it even worse. And you can just sort by DPS and then E/s in that order to get a good sense of relative efficiencies, which is what most of you are looking for anyway. If there really is a big desire for it, I'll add that column when I update the whole wiki again for 4.86. It involves 1 more line of php code for me, and then either copy/paste the entire table or make my bot do it entirely automated-like. If someone really wants to add it before then, just do one page as a proof of concept then PM me and I'll copy the format and do it like that for all the others with a script. The wiki is open for anyone to edit as they see fit, but in this case it really is a task that is better automated since it's entirely numbers. Then you can change it all from the template level at literally any time since thanks to you all the raw stats are already in the wiki. And there's no need to wait for the next large update. Number Crunching - AeternusDoleo - 11-10-2010 Yea, using expressions would be nice. The only stats you need to put in then are hull per shot, shield per shot, energy per shot, refire, and price. All else can be calculated. Number Crunching - esgarot - 01-03-2011 OR you could just put all the Data : Refire, damage, energy consumption. All into excel and do dozens of calculations all in 1 go....And have printable graphs.. |
