I'm OK with textured logos, don't put words in my mouth. Subtlety is the key.

Dart gets my vote.

You were subtle like a brick.

Voted for Luis. Trotsky is more polished and closer to Fl destroyers.

I was referring to faction insignia on ship hulls. It would not feel appropriate to fly a ship with the IMG Logo extruding 1 meter (FL engine units) from the hull for example.

(And while I personally am not subtle when I voice my opinion on subjects, I never resort to flaming and trolling)

I know exactly what you were referring to, it is the tone in which you stated it that caused offense.

Your statement has been made, if you have nothing further to offer, stop cluttering up this thread.

I've been voting for Dart.
Definely gives me a better feeling, and i would definetly like to avoid that one in space more then the Trotsky.

Just a question about Dart's model. Is that entirely textured? It looks like in some areas bits of skin have been left out. The insignia and tubes at the front, for example. Some more colour contrast could probably do it some good as well. Seeing as you're communists or something, red or crimson would probably do the trick nicely.

Other than that, I prefer the general shape of Dart's models. Luis' strikes me as an amalgamation of Rhienland and Kusari designs.

Voted for Luis. The design looked better to me.

I think the first ship made by Luis is a good mix of Rheinland and SCRA design which might be a possible way to go due to the fact that many SCRA members are coming from Rheinland (and Bretonia, as it is stated in the wiki).
It looks like a bad tempered shark and I could bet that the "wings" can be used to destroy some hapless stations or cruise disrupted trains!
But somehow it does not have the right SCRA Cruiser feeling ...

And that's why I voted for Dart-Stalker's entry, the remodeld Coalition Cruiser!

It's not the original from the Freelancer intro (they had a somewhat higher "engine part") but everyone who played Freelancer has seen them bringing the end to the Alliance right after the installation!
Of course, SCRA develops new types of ships and equipment in Sirius, so they can not use the "old stuff". However, the design is an other element, it can be "recycled" to bring the fear of being crushed and destroyed with pure brute force as the Coalition enemies were some 800 years ago!
I can imagine how proud I would be if I can get my hands on THAT ship and maybe even apologize if I stand in the way and get killed by such a beautiful and mean warship!

A Good Thought?
Maybe Luis' cruiser can be resized to a decent gunboat-type vessel? Maybe having the now helicopter-like "Storm" gunboat as a light version and the "Trotzky" class as a heavy version of SCRA gunboats as it is done with the Rheinland bombers Bergelmir and Fafnir? But I know, this thread is not about THAT!;)
