I also see it very useful on some HFs too. It is actually a bit expensive if you have more then 20 of them but if you have around 10 fighters/bombers it works.
He's referring to Tau 23..yeah...although, those numbers can change, bad on the pirate's end.

I use "engine kill" when using thrusters, 100% of the time. I see a drain only when running on normal engines and pressing the thruster key.

Cheetah thruster FTW. Then off for a trade run after every time it gets damaged.
Don't use in Omega-41.

Personally there is not much difference...but Enhanced is a good fallback, not too costly, works good.
I would find this all more interesting if using the directional thrusters...dodging strafing, whatever, used up the thruster energy...dog fights would become rather interesting.

Used to use enhanced on everything. Switched to capital on some transports because the enhanced tends to fall off in minefileds. And when shot at by a group of really nasty pirates.

I usually go for Enhanced Thrusters, Capital Ship Thrusters if I think it might get blown off.
