"I am happy to hear so, Holmes."

Franklin hastily downs the entire glass of Fang and looks around worriedly.

"I should not have drunk so much mineral water on the shuttle..."

He quickly walk-jogs out of the casino towards one of the hygenical facilities.

Crime Boss Roger Claymore pushed through the heavy doors and entered the casino. It had the usual smell; cheap drinks, cheap women, and cheap carpet. He immediately moved to the cashier and took out one hundred thousand chips, then went to the blackjack table.

He pushed everybody else out of the way and said to the blackjack dealer. 'A thousand chips a go. Let's play.'

Ian excused himself and stood, ostenibly heading for the restroom.
Halfway there he took a hop to the left and headed for the flight deck.
Same old same old. Those that want to can't, and those that can won't. Bah.
He strapped himself into his Eagle and broke every docking regulation ever invented in the process of undocking.
Doubt i'll be back.

A lone Guardian appeared, pristine. Alexis Hunter looked at the blown-to-hell New Orleans.

"Damn.."

Alex managed to talk the flight control out of cloaking, then docked.

"EVA, keep the guns warm, if anyone tries to touch it, fry them"

Alex went to the casino/bar/whatever. Spotting Jimmy and some others, she walked over.

"Hello Jimmy. Hows the Zoners treating you?"

Turning to address the others. "I was the XO of the Los Angeles before she dissappeared., and this doesnt come close to secrets I keep, so I never found this place."

Moving to sit, she ordered a Sidewinder Fang.

Franklin returns from the restroom and walks back to the casino. He strides to the barkeeper.

"Thirteen gallons of Sidewinder Fang please"

"Thirteen gallons?"

"Aye, and make it quick."

Alexis took a drink.

"I did ask you to call me Alex." She said. Downing her drink, she got another.
"Bored out of your mind? Sounds like Jere when he was home alone in 815."

Roger's gains and losses were about even. He had ninety eight thousand chips left, the blackjack dealer constantly checking so as to know when he was poor enough to boot off the table for a richer customer.

He pushed more chips into the bet. 'Five thousand,' he said with a rough voice. The dealer obliged, handing out the cards. He was given a Nine of Diamonds and an Eight of Clubs. The dealer had a King of Spades and another card, its value as of yet unknown.

'Double down,' he said after a few seconds hesitation. He pushed the extra five thousand into place, and the dealer gave him another card. It was a Three of Hearts. Twenty total now, he watched the dealer flip over his second card. It was an Eight of Diamonds. He took another card from the deck, spectators now holding their breaths. But for Roger, what was on the table was a mere pittance. He was relaxed. He couldn't care less if he lost it now, because he could just bet again and again until he won. He had all the credits in the world.

The dealer revealed his third card. A Two of Clubs. They broke even. Roger sighed at this outcome. He hated it; it left neither a winner nor a loser. In combat he wouldn't settle for a draw, and this followed on into his gambling.

He kept the ten thousand on the table. ''it me,' he said to the dealer.

Anders, pretty much left alone since Ian walked off to take a leak, watched the load newcomer. The man had a bit of an air about him. A sense of commanding respect, sort of like some "Other" people he knew. Taking a last swig, he gets up and walks over to the table, taking a look at all the players. He turns to the load guy with quite the stack of chips.

"You walked over to this table with about that many chips, and you don't like one of those people who takes draws. I'm guessing your a Liberty Rogue?"

Anders shifts his feet from side to side, continuing to pick at his tattered uniform
