Nomad gear is balanced.

Now, you might look at the stats and say BS! It's better than X. Very true. However, Nomad equipment is NOT balanced 1:1. It's balanced 1:3 or 1:5, since the overwhelming majority of fights involve massive numbers of opponents.

Can't many factions cite the same need for balance, since they are faced with overwhelming odds in most fights

Allowed to engage within the Omicrons only, against all foes there. To go anywhere else, they must have Wild/Keepers with them.

Full use of tech on those ships.

Worst possible thing a Morph can say. Pretty much an instant "no".

Seems fine to me like that.

Really lovely openness there.

One word, and it's an automatic no? That's rather sad. You have to teach morphs (Indies, basically) you know. The 'right' way to RP.

You cant just say OP YOU GOT IT WRONG ONCE KTHXBAI

' Wrote:I'm sure this is somewhat off topic. But how would you characterize your statements of requiring the balance ratios you cited above with Akura's position of the Keepers eschewing combat in the Omicrons in favor of targeting more vulnerable forces?

Namely the idea that you require weaponry which can reasonably sustain 1:3 to 1:5 odds for a faction which opts to combat in 1:1 situations?

The justification of these 1:1 situations is that the current battles we face cannot be adequately countered with even these 1:3/1:5 ratios. It's not a forever thing by any means.

Nah, Nomad tech isn't balanced for being ganked, and it's not massively over powered, it's slightly better than human tech, but all in all, it's just -different-.

The LF/HF is OP for sure, and the VHF is broken. The Scorpion I also hate and would love to see removed, but it's the Das Wilde's, so I just refuse to use it.

Nomad Tech on Nomad ships is fine, and Wild only use partially Nomad loadouts, with more human tech than Nomad. Only the ships need fixing, not the other tech.

Not what I meant, 'Warmth' is a great way to indicate that you know nothing of the Keepers and should come back later.

It's more like a "please try again in a month or so, or do some reading"

-Double-

The odd thing is, it's basically just one tier higher than anything else in its class.

Gunboat with cruiser guns, cruiser with BS guns, et certera.

The power cost remains roughly the same though, and after a short burst of high output, the DPS settles into a pattern that's quite a bit lower than comparable human ships.

Not exactly, the Nomad cap guns are half the refire of human guns, making them a little less than a class up. That and the lack of any other guns but primaries.

This means they only really serve simple purposes, and are easily countered.

Nomad Equipment reminds me of Gallic equipment, higher DPS and Higher energy, there's nothing wrong with it really, the Nomad BS sucks.

That's basically saying "I dont care about you or your attempts at RP"

Reading only helps lore knowledge.
Not ways to act like a Nomad in game.

So what is acceptable? Why is ***(Warmth)*** not ok?

...would love the idea of the Nomad ID being opened to the public, and restricted to the Omicrons without Keeper escort. Would be a nice way to both balance out the Order - Zoner - BHG nonsense, and bring activity into the Omicrons.

That and, +1 for opening up nomad tech. Because I, personally, have ideas on how I would utilize such things which have no substitute for what I, personally, want to do.

The BS itself has a twofold issue:

Bots/bats/armor for its size (it's a HUGE target) and the fact that it has 15 guns that can't shoot more than 3k, while everyone else has 12-22 guns (The Venator has 22 guns, okay?) and can shoot them from 4.5k away and just lol away in a straight line.
