For instance, Holman buys Niobium Ore at 1/5th of the top price (2000 credits per unit). If a player can't be arsed to move all the way to Berlin, you can still move to Holman, sell there, and move back for more mining. For Gold Ore, perhaps a 1/8th of max buy price at Graves, Hood and Arranmore, seeing as those bases process the ore? For the Omega 7 ores 1/5th of max price over at Freiburg Station, Stuttgart for Copper, Cobalt and Silver ores. For Diamonds, 1/8th of max price over at Solarius and Freital. For Beryllium, 1/5th of max price at Kensington. Scrap's fine as is. Texas to Shikoku for ALG, Southampton to Manchester for junkers, New Berlin scrapfield to Tripoli shipyard for junkers. Keeps miners busy, at a lower profit. For people who, you know, just enjoy mining. I dont think pirates are going to make that idea work. This idea makes 100% in RP. I Dont think its feasible gameplay wise. Mining is a credit making activity. It gets very annoying and repetitive. (same goes with trading) Dart's Mining Suggestion - Coin - 03-03-2011 right idea, wrong way around increase drop rates, nerf prices. make mining as profitable as trading. miners will whine 'we need to pay escorts' but then, so do traders. and when was the last time you saw a miner in dublin with an escort sitting in attendence? afaik, only convoy have regular escorts. Dart's Mining Suggestion - Jack_Henderson - 03-03-2011 ' Wrote:afaik, only convoy have regular escorts. IMG Dublin almost always protects their haulers. (I'd say 90 % have scout/escort) Dart's Mining Suggestion - AeternusDoleo - 03-03-2011 You're comparing IMG| (/MMC) miningops to solo BMM indies Jack? You disappoint me, young grasshopper. As for piracy, Dart. Group up as we do. Hire some escorts/sentries. Heck, have a few guildsmates hop on a few BHG ships that you hire for "enduring sentry duty" with a "fixed contract rate", so you guys have some decent ships out there as well. Tag em DMD (Dublin Miner Defense) or such. You'll have a good reason to pew Molly troublemakers in the BAF zone as well - I can imagine the BAF won't mind enforcement of their anti-molly edict there. Going full miner on the entire op just doesn't work. You need miners, guards, and traders to be effective. And you need to make a fair profit per run to make it attractive. (the 50M a run now is excessive, even halved it would still be something that would attract players).
