Admin Notice: Server testing #3 - Rubber_Duck - 03-11-2011 ' Wrote:- you are in formation and hit a formed ship. Ive tried it yesterday. Bretonian Gunboats, five of them, flying in formation. We just went from Leeds to New London, Cambridge Gate, and back. Most of us used about 50 bots, due to collision damage in formation flight. Greetings Rubber_Duck Admin Notice: Server testing #3 - Jinx - 03-11-2011 about formations: how well a formation works and how much you crash into a wingman also depends on the server lag ( as we all know ) we have "hopes" that the lag might be reduced due to a few measures taken. - currently - all that is nothing but THEORY - but IF it works out fine... we might end up with a better ping, less package loss ( unless client side ) and better working formations. ( along with other things lag related ) to be honest - i don t see a great problem with ships taking minor damage when they take a longer tour. - but i have yet to test the collision damage myself - haven t found a battleship yet i d wish to crash into. Admin Notice: Server testing #3 - Soban - 03-11-2011 Just need to know.... Since when we can't transfer cargo with f1 now ? Each time we are teleported to an other area .( 33-40k below/above the plan) Now we will forced to require help of other player or admin to switch cargo/Gun ? Or even run two fl to do the transfer ? Admin Notice: Server testing #3 - Stuart.croll - 03-11-2011 ' Wrote:Not true So why my ship which was near a station is now 33k above it ?Trust me. Just try it without dumping the cargo just in case. I am still using F1 for cargo transfer :nyam: Admin Notice: Server testing #3 - Hielor - 03-11-2011 ' Wrote:Not trueSometimes true--I've seen it happen myself, although it doesn't seem to happen all the time. No idea specifically what triggers it, but it has been the case for me that I've logged in 40km above the plane after having F1ed in space. No idea specifically what triggers it, but it has been the case for me that I've logged in 40km above the plane after having F1ed in space.I think time between logins is a factor here. As an example I was just outside planet New berlin when the last Ion storm hit. When I logged back in I was exactly where I had been. Nuff said. |
