Review of IMG Bs vs Outcast Bs setups required - chopper - 03-23-2011 ' Wrote:sabre VS nyx in TAU, nyx is better.... sabre vs nyx anywhere else, sabre is better... but wait, IMG/CR who use the nyx, IS IN TAU What do you mean Nyx is better in Taus? Have you ever even used the thing? Same goes for Pytho, you are wrong. Both Nyx and Pytho are decent, Nyx is actually good, but it takes a lot of skill to fly it properly, while Sabre requires none. Falcata is a better bomber then the Pytho, easier to dodge in it, because Pytho is longer. Assuming atleast 1 or 2 of those dreads use razor/solaris Yes, I know bomber can do wonders. you are right. What if they all come out at the same time from the same docking point. Make one huge ball and start spamming missiles at the snub? I am not even talking about their escort! .... Add the billion NPC that not only will lag you like if there was no tommorow, they will actually do some damage to you ( not liberty) Also, about saying that one shipline is more efficient in a specific location... I don't think so. Say: is the Atlas more fast in the tau then in Texas? Say:The liberty Navy ship work better when they fly in the void of liberty rather then the void of rheinland? All in all: Is location modifying ship stats? Nope. The only thing I could see is that , in some place in the tau, there are asteroid making a bigger battleship less agile and long range weapon less effective (weapons are universal anyway) . The same could be said in Omega 7 where the visibility force bomber to get closer to their targets. -That was one of the most stupid thing I ever heard... (sun) By the way, YOU smell CARDAMINE Badly ... Now back to topic about the gunboat/cap shield' Review of IMG Bs vs Outcast Bs setups required - The.Outlaw.Star - 03-23-2011 The IMG is really never meant to a aggressive Faction, but things never work out as planed. The IMG battleship isn't supposed to match up against the Outcast its just supposed to survive deep space explorations. Most people loose sight of what the IMGs real purpose is and decide to TRY to fight the Outcast when we all know we don't stand a chance, Out-numbered and Out-powered they will get us every time. Honestly even with a Cap 8 its pathetic to even try to take it into combat against Outcast! RP wise the Zepkyr shouldn't exist or at least shouldn't be seen. Also in 4.86 you can say bye bye to the IMG Battleships! Review of IMG Bs vs Outcast Bs setups required - Prysin - 03-23-2011 ' Wrote:What do you mean Nyx is better in Taus? Have you ever even used the thing? Yes im in CR, so i know very well how to use it and have flown my CR nyx for some 60 hours soon and my 3rd bomber was a pytho, have been flying a pytho for some 200 hours i would guess. Pytho is longer, sure, but its slimmer. So if you slide with it sideways its really hard to hit. Falcata is more like a big clump of steel with a tiny nose.... easy to hit from any directions Sabre do however require little skill to use, but ALOT of skill to master. Its ridiculously how easy people say their aces in a sabre. Clearly, only a handful in this game would know how to properly fly a sabre. Nyx on the other hand, well thats like bicycling.... Extremly hard at once, then fairly easy to get back into once you've learned. MISSILES, IN TAU?? oh my god, i once had a sarissa... MISSILES, FLAK, RAZORS ARE ALL USELESS IN THERE. Ships bounce around the rocks, or missiles/flak (since flak is a missile going straight) go off in your own face.... ONLY functional guns in tau IS AND WILL BE Primes/secondary/solari... and YOU CAN HIDE BEHIND A ROCK IF YOU WANT to aviod those while throwing snac's... At best, you can use a CD in tau without it blowing in your face... i tried fighter torps, starkillers, on my Nyx... forget it, they hit those debrie rocks flying randomly around, causing blowbacks. If you saw the video where i get attacked on my arms dealer (an zoner juggi). I fly that thing gracefully around rochester. Yes a juggi in full cruise.... why? its big wide and flat, just like all IMG ships.... Try fly a rheinland BS through a asteroid field, IMPOSSIBLE... (although i can nearly pull the same grace by using a sarissa) SHIP SHAPE, DOES MATTER IN A ASTEROID FIELD. They are also slow, so they can't avoid a rock like Sabre can. Sabre wins the day in a rock field anytime, because it's 2x faster in responsiveness. Quote:Pytho is longer, sure, but its slimmer. You are obviously talking about 1vs1. Using that logic BH bomber is awesome. Pytho can't dodge well if you put anything on it's tail. Falcata can actually. And it will stay alive longer. Also, Pytho just turns faster, but it's responsiveness is lousier then Falcata's, if I'm not mistaken. Never mind. And ive seen the same Mako take out numerous Legates and Osirises 1 on 1. And this was done very easily as i saw it. Then again i have seen the same Pilot in an Ossie be even more awesome than in the Mako. Review of IMG Bs vs Outcast Bs setups required - Linkus - 03-23-2011 I have a solution. Come 4.86 the CR will just keep all zephs CR only. Lulz. Review of IMG Bs vs Outcast Bs setups required - AeternusDoleo - 03-23-2011 "Good idea." And people who want to capwhore on the lawful side in the Taus will use those GRN battleships instead... Forward cannon, excellent cap weaponry, slim profile suitable for asteroid maneuvers. The OC Ranseurs are in for some rough times in the Taus. Probably a good thing that those are getting an upgrade too. Review of IMG Bs vs Outcast Bs setups required - Panzer - 03-23-2011 Prisun... If nyxes have any advantage "becase they're in the Taus" - it's not a specific location-relaed advantage, but environment. And it wold work just the same in o5, o41, T31 and wherever... And terrain is neutral. The same advantages as it probably offers us - it offers the enemy. Now given, that Sabres and Nyxes meet up on even terms, the winning factors are lagshield quality, dodging and weapons. Sabre has better. In all 3 areas. |
