Sure, if it's limited to certain IDs (Read: Not official player factions), and only works if the target ship is carrying cargo which the police faction is actively looking for (e.g. LSF/LPI wouldn't be able to stop ships with cargo not considered contraband in Liberty), I would support this.

Hey, that's a great idea. It's so obvious and yet... Can't believe I didn't think of it before.

Make it only work if the target is carrying Contraband.

Edit: Yes, I'm being serious. Sorry if it sounded sarcastic.

By lawful, would you mean corporate bases as well? E.g Trenton, Newark. What if it was a lawful trader trying to land on their own base, and you somehow lock it?

The whole point of this is to not waste the Admins time with reports for that. With this in place, it saves time for the Admins that can be used for more important things. Do you know how many people I've had do this since I joined the LPI not even a week ago? More then ten. That's a lot of work, and that's just me personally. I can't say how much this has happened to other people.

True reporting is a pain for both player, and admins. I usually screen it,and post in Liberty's most wanted,or in My BAF char's case. BAF most wanted. links below. Then i just kill on site next time.

Aye, I'd say include Corporations too. But Alex had a really good idea. Make it only work if the target has Contraband.

I might re-write the first post later today.

Edit: Alright, I re-wrote the first post to help address some concerns.

I do believe that the smugglers are a dying breed. There's really no need to implement something which can, potentially, kill this rare breed off all together.

If it would work against generic IDs only.

I must have a normal way smuggle cardamine as Cryer, si?

A good point, which is why I'd have to recommend that prices for smuggling be increased by a very good amount. To compliment the new, much higher risk.

smugglers are gone, ive seen like 3 cardi transports in 4 days... usually you see atleast 3-5 transports an hour. Smuggling is dead. Face it. This is just gonna ruin it.

id say NO. Even though its a good suggestion
