[Ship Concept] Ultralight bombers - AeternusDoleo - 03-28-2011 Highly maneuverable and extreme firepower through the SNAC. No thanks. These would be bombers with a practical immunity to their main enemies - fighters. [Ship Concept] Ultralight bombers - pruskis92 - 03-28-2011 sounds like.. you want a light fighter with a SNAC... <div align="right]...okay. [Ship Concept] Ultralight bombers - pruskis92 - 03-28-2011 ' Wrote:Hey, at least that would make light fighters less useless than they are now! what a wonderful thought! LFs are so overused these days. :( [Ship Concept] Ultralight bombers - Silver.2 - 03-28-2011 Absolutely not. Are you even aware of an Orchid's turning? This would be only SLIGHTLY better than that - still worse than most VHFs, and even some SHFs. These aren't ultra-maneuverable...they're light. They reduce their size, and sacrifice power, firepower, and durability. [Ship Concept] Ultralight bombers - Vexykin - 03-28-2011 OP...nowai...leave the bombers alone... They're good as they are right now...we don't need agile SabreSnac'ers .) So no [Ship Concept] Ultralight bombers - Silver.2 - 03-28-2011 I have to say, this is rather annoying. I put this up for discussion and revision, and Im largely met with nonsensical answers coming from people who seem to have not even read and considered the idea itself. Yes, it's slightly more agile than most bombers; As such, any hull damage taken is critical. Hell, a couple of "lucky" shots from a solaris, and it's in flames Yes, it couples this agility with an SNAC; as such, it either has 2, or no bomber guns (depending on whether we reconcile that in this thread), which thus limits it from attacks on ships other than heavy vessels. It also counters this with a crappy powercore. Yes, it's smaller (unless that's changed in our discussion); guess what? If any fighter makes even an average effort at tailing one of these, it's still dead. Even a bolstered shield cant save it. Now, can we actually have a reasonable discussion on how it can be made better, instead of everyone spamming "NOWAI NO WANTZ Q.Q" [Ship Concept] Ultralight bombers - Hielor - 03-28-2011 What class of ships are you imagining that this "light bomber" would be good against that bombers aren't already good against? [Ship Concept] Ultralight bombers - Silver.2 - 03-28-2011 ' Wrote:What class of ships are you imagining that this "light bomber" would be good against that bombers aren't already good against? This idea was conceived more to fill the gap of a ship COMPLETELY dedicated to attacking heavier vessels, rather than the jack-of-all-trades vessels that most bombers are. [Ship Concept] Ultralight bombers - ryoken - 03-28-2011 Light bomber? fighter torps only. SNAC? no way. Give it 2 fighter torp slots np,just no SNAC. It would be spammed like crazy for pirating with SNAC. |
