If the Borderworlds Transport had a CD it could do fairly well, heavily armed for its size & has a relatively narrow frontal profile. Team it up with a fighter/bomber or two to provide the CD It could provide the heavier firepower & fairly good cargo capacity.

I found that, when I pirated, a Democritus with a battle razor, 4 type 2s, and a decent armor upgrade was superb...but, you'll need to enlist the services of a small fighter to disrupt your targets.
