i see a flaw or two in your plan there.

a - nobody said, that GRN will lose
b - grandfather paradox

cant kill your ancestor man, because then you cannot exist, therfore you cannot kill your ancestor, so you can exist, therefore you can kill your ancestor, etc etc etc

edit: anyone that wants to preserve continuance of a timeline he knows, commits suicide while making sure his body is destoryed in the process immediately after he manages to travel in time.

Tine travelling forward is a bit better imo.

1: You will probably be,asumed dead
2: You cant change the past timeline
3: You cant metagame future events

Oh, and for all we know, .87 Gallia will have taken over, all lawfuls will side with unlawfuls, causing masdive resistance efforts, or lawfuls side with unlawfuls and pwn Gallia.

Or Gallia pwns us all. We dont know.

Addendum:

Or lawfuls shoot all, Gallia takes over, small resistance efforts.

Multiverse theory. He didn't jump back in time in his timeline, rather, a parallel timeline in a seperate universe. Therefore, killing his ancestors doesn't affect his own line, rather, the timeline of his alternate self, and this also means the GRN doesn't have to lose. May have lost in HIS timeline, however, nobody knows in this reality.
