Completely disregarding a factions Roleplay just to have an edge in PvP however is questionable.I do admit that people using it will have such PvP advantage but I dont see it as significant then the open use civilian technology. I could compare this: PHOENIX 625 speed 2000 Hull 1000 Shield 440 energy usage with Trefoil 600 speed 2,320 Hull 1,160 Shield 580 energy usage Put them on sabre and you wont have any significant difference, molly guns are designed for ships with heavy energy plants. If you use more then 4 of this weapons on sabre you will be constantly dry, so you need to have good aim adding that the gun have low speed and it is really energy hungry. And this will be only the people who cannot cope with typical molly technology, or the people who cannot use MiniRazor or dont want to use one, as I said from day 1 it is hard to tell how many will be they and how the whole story will evolve. From what I see for now I dont think that any from the currnet people interested ~ 6 none have any intentions to make or use Sabre. The Mollys + Post #109. - Avalanche - 06-20-2011 I'm going to join The.False.Miner into the group as well, should be a good laugh. :D The Mollys + Post #109. - Zapp - 06-20-2011 I like it, depending on how my situation is as far as gaming goes in about a week, I may throw my hat into the ring. Maybe. The Mollys + Post #109. - Doc Holliday - 06-20-2011 Not bad so far. I will admit that I have my doubts as the last attempt at a Molly faction didn't go well. It would be nice to see a good Molly faction come of this, comparable to the late Molly Republic. I'd also like to see this work as Zoners had some good RP with the Mollies and were making foward progress. I, for one, would like to see it continue. Keep up the good work. The Mollys + Post #109. - Ayem - 06-20-2011 The problem with restricting new players to less effective ships is that (if they are new to the Mollies) their first impression may not be so favourable. That said, the greyhound is pretty neat, and the switchblade is amazing. Also, I don't know why a governor would be piloting a ship, rather than getting on with governing. That's just something that stuck out when I read the proposal. People whose life has been war and terrorism are often less effective political leaders, but very good at using their tools (a ship) to wreak destruction. I'd recommend having weapons of war in the hands of warriors, and let governers do the forum legwork/fly about in Bactrians(just an example). Beyond that, good luck to you. The Mollies are a grand faction. edit: I used to use the werewolf for solo piracy. Full debs, minirazor and a tcd. The most fun I ever had pirating. The eagle works quite well as a Molly ship too. The right colour for Dublin. Take your time, the faction won't be dieing out any time soon, we have 9 members so far. Quite a plump faction in terms of service record and member count. ' Wrote:Not bad so far. Thanks Doc, indeed, I won't lie to everyone, I've had my doubts about if I can get it working but we are a good size team in such a short amount of time, and I've received a surprising number of "I'll see how you guys get on". So more possible members due. Excellent news really. And with a good member count, means a good range of in-game/forum possibilities. I just have a big grin every time I imagine it. Indeed, faction relations and Rp developments will increase our activity and promote the faction so I'm all for it. Thanks again man, we'll deliver. The Mollys + Post #109. - Black Widow - 06-20-2011 I think the pirate ship line is crap and they look odd especially the werewolf however I hope you become official as the Molly thing is a good idea;) The Mollys + Post #109. - Vito - 06-20-2011 Get rid of the BW ships, please. Official factions have the responsibility of setting good RP examples for the indies. I can understand using BW/Civilian ships when you don’t have your own ship line but I find it OoRP for a Molly or Hessian to fly a Sabre, or a Corsair or Rogue to fly an Eagle The Mollys + Post #109. - Avalanche - 06-20-2011 ' Wrote:Get rid of the BW ships, please. Thats a quote from a previous reply of mine. If enough people request to not have the BWs, we will get rid of them. I personally don't want them either, its just others have disagreed. The Mollys + Post #109. - Johnny_Walker - 06-20-2011 I also think it would be a good Idea to remove the BW ships from the list. Since the Mollys along side with the Rogues got their own ship line. And it's Suuuuuuuuper Awesome to see a Molly faction here again! (thumbs up) |
