YOU! I blame you!

@Topic

I still don't get why should those 2 factions should merge, it kinda harms both of their role plays.

In vanilia it was hinted that the two groups would merge in order to present a united front that could take down their larger Rhienland rivals. Plus there were financial worries, so the merge would have made perfect sense. Of course, Discovery refuses to touch or develop corporate story lines, because they aren't awesome enough to satisfy the rule of cool, apparently.

Give me an ass-pull involving the space-French any day...

Yep, because there has been no developments in the Kusari corporate storyline.

' Wrote:Same as when the HF asked to have their ID revised. High command of the faction proposes it, admin team either approves or denies it in the weekly vote. If denied, then a reason given as to why is included, along with advice at how to better their chances of receiving their ID.

Edit: Also this.

[5:08:47 PM] Xal (Cameron): Also, easy.
[5:08:55 PM] Xal (Cameron): You just give them a template, they fix it up, job done!
[5:09:14 PM] Xal (Cameron): If there's a template what's the big deal? It's already done, the factions can figure out the formatting.
[5:09:54 PM] Xal (Cameron): Just stick it up, let them adjust it and put in their info. It'd be no different from modding the sanction report template to fit a sanction, something the admins process on a daily basis anyway.

So that idea is basically the same as how it works right now where the faction asks for an ID and the admins decide if it is needed or not?

I do think the 2nd sigma war is somewhat development.

Wait what? I am confused right now.

<strike>EDIT: Admins remove this post too, as it was related to what Zelot wrote which was killed so... so said the man with the big ego.</strike>

Yeah, except for making it more accessible, transparent, and a right that comes with official status rather than some weird frowned upon voodoo magic which takes over a year to finalize.

Here, to cut down admin workload, the criteria would be that the faction would have to be using a generic ID to request their own.

No modifying existing faction IDs or any of that junk. No adding new IDs when you already have a non generic ID.

I was referring to the fact that by 4.86 the balance of power in corporate Kusari will have almost reversed since vanilla.

' Wrote:Lol? I said it should be a right that factions should have when they become official. The VR and VE should've gotten their own IDs, the LE should get theirs.

They never did because of some invisible rule about out of the box things being bad. And yeah, the RoS got their own ID, but that's simply because the NovaPG ID was repurposed, AND the RoS have existed since p'much the begining of time.

If the VR had gotten their own ID, would they still have handed out Lane Hacker ships? Should they have been allowed to?

Are all these new factions gonna fly Sabres and Dromedaries? (Not that there's anything wrong with it) Out of the box is fine. Tell you what, get writing your own IDs and we'll get the ball rolling. Try to sort out the problem with technology while you're at it. (The inside the box part that takes up most of our time)

Just forget about me, I think I'll leave this thread over confusion is flooding me

Hot damn, now we're talking. I'll have a chat with David (King) on skype later and we'll see what we can't do about getting a standardized ID request system in place. I'll do some thinking on the tech part as well.
