It would be a real bomber actually, and that's what I thought.
2 fighters would take it down under 5 minutes of fighting, for sure.
It could rape capital ships, but it wouldn't stand a chance against fighters.
And that's how bombers should be.

Right now, Capital ships can rape it, bombers can rape it, fighters can rape it.
So, something really needs to be done.

If you ask me, 6k recharge is even crazier then 2 supernovas.
It means it will be able to fire it about every 5,6,7 seconds.
While regular bombers have to wait for around 15 to fully regain energy, yes?
What I mean is, that proposal is also good.
It's actually very similar.

I have a suggestion to increase CAP upkeep costs.... how about making botts and batts 10 times more expensive...

A destroyed rheinland battleship would cost you 4M in botts and batts cost (still far from resonable, but 10 times better then now)

so if you do that, noobies cant afford no bots and bats.:(
Because there is no Capital specific bots and bats

On the Barghast
Give it power so when you fire 2 SNs you deplete its engery core completely renderin git vulnerable for a few minutes.
Or if not that give it a agility boost

Yup, if we make every ship in discovery, exactly the same, we'll have no problems with balance whatsoever, is that what we're heading toward? I'd LOVE to have every single bomber to be a tiny agile bomber, it'd be so good. We'd have some sort of anti-fighter/capship uber-ship, such a great idea!

Three cheers to obvious sarcasm...

Make it MORE unique, like with the Titan, giving it 2 Supernovas sounds good. Though, after that, it shouldn't be able to shoot anything for a few seconds ( Any Torp mounted anti-cap weapons), it'd be a proper anti-cap bomber, and I'd swap out my Red Catarman for it any day.

And... that sounds like a pretty good idea. It'd make another way of getting money for newbies aswell, blowing up NPCs to get the Nanobots / shield batteries would be fairly profitable, at the moment, 1 nanobot costs 200 credits, 2000 credits per nanobot would mean you'd fly around empty to pick them up. A full load of Nanobots for a Praetorian = 2000 x 100, so 200 k, 5 fights in which you die, you've lost 1 mill. Sounds like a fair deal though.

Exactly.... I fly some Falcatas and a Havoc... and bought a Barghest just because those are all the same and kind of "boring".

As I noticed againg in some fights yesterday.. problem with Barghest is that every capship no matter how crappy aimer it has can keep it's shields down. So you are using bats/bots all the time...
LVL 6 Freighter shield would be really helpfull... even thew CSV can mount that one :shok:

Anyhow, botts should be at least as expensive as ship repairs, the cost would probably deteer some pvp whoring...
