Dammit.
I can't play because my CD key was used to make an account already.
If I knew that would've been a problem, I wouldn't have bought it used from the store..

That sucks
You can get new copies of WiC for like 30 bucks now.

Some games are now like that. C&C3 for example and WiC. CD Key is attached to account. If you buy used copy. Online wont work because of this.
Unless if you contact WiC customer serveice and present a proof of purchase then get a replacement key. Which some people did.

It's annoying that I can't just buy a new CD Key.
So I go and buy a new damn game, and had to reinstall because I couldn't find a file to put in the new CD Key.

someone explain why this game is so good online...?

i saw the youtube music video and yes the graphics are great but...

what's the gameplay like..? is there a limit on numbers of units.. any random map.. is there any green forest map (or is it all desert dusty yellow), what's camera angles like, weapon/unit balance?... it is easy to control individual units -- build tree -- is it a long time to build and so on..


the best rts i currently played are only total annihilation and cnc generals -- graphics not at WOI's level but gameplay is really good.... does WOI match their gameplay you think..?

I'm Dantrithor in BF2142. Has a few bugs (including one that didn't allow me to rank up for two days... even when i had enough exp to rank up twice), but it's funny. Specially beeing an engineer and blasting tanks/titan guns to dust...


... until that sniper half a map away kills you.

Maps: Alot. Map Editor Included
From Desert like to wastelands to Forests
Random Generated Maps: None
Gameplay:
Easy to move units.
Tactical Aids: For kills and captures you get TA points.
Can be used for A10 Thunderbird Strikes with anti Armor missiles and 30mm Chain Gun. Off Map Artillery of various types from precision to Heavy. Air to Air Strikes. Air dropped extra units. Carpet Bombing, Fuel Air Bombs, Nukes, etc. For nukes Teams usually pool TA to one player to launch it.
Gameplay/MP Described Below
Camera: Very Nice Camera. Full 360 Degrees. In all axis'. Raise Camera from ground level above ground to 300m.
Mega Map Also

Mulitplayer is very unique.
16 player matches. You cna join and leave without disrupting game. No base building or resource gathering.
Only money is points for units. Stronger, more expensive. Once unit dies points get refunded.
Its all about how you use them. Not how many you have.

Think of it as Battlefield Strategy style.
Conquest Type Mode. Capture Command Points by placing units into the two or more circles aroudn the command point. Varies depending on strategic location
Tug Of War. Capture th Frontline. Usually 2 or more points. Then capure next set and keep goign until Enemy team is pushed away
Attack/Defend: Sort of like Assault in BF2. One team begins attacking one defends. Again capture points. After you get one another apears behind. Fastest team wins.
Few Player: 1v1 to 3v3. you get More points and access to all units. For those who enjoy controlling everything on the battlefield.

Teamplay is important. You cant win without teamplay. Example.
Armor: Tanks, APCs, Main Ground force. Air Kills Armor with ease
Air: Helis, Scouts, Medium, gunships. Air Kills armor but AA rips them apart with ease
Infantry: Regular, Ant Tank, Snipers, etc. Versitile. Hard to use. Good for ambushes. Godo versus all. In the open, they get destroyed
Support: Artilery, AA, Rapair, Demo, etc. Good versus all.
Repair tanks can repair friendlies, AA takes out choppers, Artilery gives long range fire support. But versus tanks or infantry they get torn to pieces.

So heres a example.
Player A is Air
Player B is Armor
Player C is Support
Player D is Armor

Player A raids D. C comes in with AA. A pulls back. B comes in and destroys C. A moves back in and kills remaining C.
So basically, Armor sucks versus air. But air is ineffective versus AA. You need armor to take out AA to allow air to move more safetley and support you better.


Very fun in MP and SP. Its not like the regular RTS' Such as Starcraft or C&C3. It requires alot more strategy and teamwork.
