It's a feature actually making GB useful for what they are supposed to do. It's ways easier to fly bigger ships and it's more enjoyable, too.

It's a problem for those that dislike caps having some sort of "advantage" in pvp.
Personally, I don't consider it to be a game breaker. The turret zoom was kind of fun too. Too bad it was turned off.

I'm not at all convinced that it helps in fighter combat in any way.
1vs1 yes you can fire back more often, but then you can't strafe/dodge that well so you get hit more
yes you can fire your turret (if you have it) backwards while dodging, but hey that's 1 gun.
in group fights only possible use is if you are a target then you can dodge and fire that 1 gun back, but the dodging won't be as good as in chase view.
Possibly there might be some small issues with ships that have a bit too generous firing arcs. But it shouldn't be that hard to find those and correct them.

As I mentioned before most damage to that eagle during second part of the vid is from the lvl19 KNF NPCs that hit the eagle during long e-kills.
What strikes me is how the author manages to write that he had more chances without it and that it changes uber noobs into uberpwnzors such a short distance from one another.

yeah. learn to use it and learn to beat the ones using it. just a matter of time.
also! the feature is meant for .86 mostly - where load of ships are rebalanced.
so we'll see if its OP AFTER the modupdate. if its OP then we can go cry at the devs :D

Yeh baby; I love my fixed camera and maximum of 4 steering planes. That is what fighters are all about right?
In all seriousness tho, disable this for fighters it at all possible. It is going to make keyboard steering (its ok for caps) the norm for fighter pilots. The advantage it gives is just too good to pass up for fighter pilots (better view angle for dodging and firing) and with thus become the norm.....
