I actually like the Broadsword, maybe because it's LH tech, but I don't know.
For me, the Barghest is -not- a good bomber, it's easy to shoot.
And if this wouldn't be pirate-only, the worst bomber would be the Cupholder.

Every bomber has cons and pros.. Sekhmet has 5 forward guns and heavy core, but it's slow and large.
Kaichou has same heavy core too, 4 guns, well placed snac for hitting fighters, it's tiny and has 100 regens.
Challenger and Barghest have very heavy cores...They'll eat battleships but are food for snubs...

I'll vote for the Barghest as you asked for a PIRATE bomber. For pirating that thing is a monster. A traderslaughterer with no competitor.
Though if you asked for an unlawful bomber, I'd say Nodachi or Mamoru. But keep in mind I have never flown the Jaguars. No idea how they perform. Both the Nodachi and the Mamoru are extremly well-performing bombers, fast and slim, hard to hit and agile. On downside with those light bombers - and that's why the Barghest also wins by far - is the low powercore. As I said, for a pirate the Barghest is much better, but for fighting, I'd always say "Nodachi or Mamoru". Because the Barghest is - unless flown by a very very very good pilot - only good against caps. Every smaller craft should have no problem destroying that ship.
Worst ship? Mh...
I used all bombers at least for a short time. Except the Jaguars and the Broadsword.
But I keep hearing that bomber sucks, because the SNAC slot is on the wing, which makes aiming very hard. So, I guess that's a good reason for that light bomber to suck and thereby go on the "worst bomber" place #1.
Oh well, I didn't really fly the Orchid and the Praetorian (though I saw it perform very often) and the last time I used a Thor was like a year ago. Same goes for the Falcata, but I remember that one's performance better than the Thor. They still aren't the best or the worst. None of those four. And I'm pretty sure the Jaguars perform rather good as well. Or at least decent.
Anyway.
Best: Barghest (for pirating), Mamoru and Nodachi (for fighting)
Worst: Broadsword

Sure you won't fight snubs in it well, but you can mount double nova and cd and it's all that matters.
