If you leave now, THEY will win. I'm not really sure who THEY are, but we don't want THEM winning anything, do we now?

ps: Obviously I meant lolwutters.

They already won. They won by breaking the rules.

The admins started enforcing more and more stupid-ass rules because a couple dozen idiots decided to ignore the ones that were already in place.

Why? Haven't got a damn clue.

Might as well force people to write RP applications to get a password to join the server at this rate.

The conspiracy is actually one by the administrators to remove all the old players who prefer RP over strict rules. By getting rid of all the old players, they're left with morons who blindly follow rules and create terrible characters and RP that becomes monotonous and repetitive.

The conspiracy is successful yet again.

To my fellow players who were around when I started: Get out while you still can.

I'm not going to be as hostile as Kaz, but I think I should reply anyway.

The rules as-is practically enforce lolwuttery.

Remember the days when you could RP-bluff that you weren't actually part of a criminal organization, and people would actually sometimes play along?

No longer. With IDs as in-RP items (which is, incidentally, the exact opposite of the stance I remember being in place long ago), in-RP every civilian in Gallia knows about that Humpback you shot in Dresden.

And they'll shoot you for something they shouldn't even know about. And, the worst part? By the rules it'd be justified.

Does this directly affect anything I planned? No. I planned to start up an Outcast smuggling and piracy faction, so I could try to do something to teach the newbies how to actually RP. The 101st does a great job of military stuff, but there's no organized Outcast criminal activity that I know of.

But it does make it clear that this server isn't what I'm looking for.

If I wanted black and white, I'd play Star Wars. They're better at it.

Discovery has the potential for so much more, and I feel like it's being wasted.

Incidentally, I'm also rather irritated about the Outcasts constantly taking it up the ass every time there's a rule change. "BHG caps can now attack Omicron Alpha." "Everyone in Gallia can now attack Omicron Alpha." What the hell, people? To be fair, the first one hit Corsairs pretty hard too, but seriously, everyone and their Liberty-based shipping company can (and does) raid Alpha. What the hell?
