Marsflier Debate - finius - 02-28-2006

I suppose I could agree with you there xit, seeing as we have bing blue floaty bubble type things called nomads, maybe a marsflyer isn't too far fetched!
I still think it is quite strange, maybe if it was somewhere more marsish, or say it had a few other ships shaped liked it, so that it was not the only one. Then it might belong a bit more. I still think the weapons and that hideous binging sound it makes should be changed.

I like the Marsflyer, either make guns unmountable or change the turrets to guns (don't see why they are turrets). I agree with Igiss in a previous post, keep it as an expensive exotic, only slightly better than a VHF, ignoring the torp mount.

Battleship turrets need to do more damage, say x2 on everything.

The Marsflyer is from the '53 War of the Worlds. Directed by Byron Haskin. Written by H.G. Wells.

Personally, I love H.G. Wells, and this ship is from one of his books. Though, in the book they have legs....

Unless you see the movie, you reall should not judge the way it looks or sounds. The sounds match the movie, as well as the ship.

And Igiss, how do you plan on fixing the weapon problem?

The ships isn't quite as detailed as it is in "War of the Worlds" though. And it isn't so short but a bit thicker vertically then the marsflyer.

Must you always complain?

Its a very good rendering... What do you want the man to do, sit for 45 hours making it perfect?

Marsflier Debate - Fire_Tzunami - 03-01-2006

Systems are a million times larger than a ship....

Yes but most of the stufffor the systems is already done and has auto-coding. Plus ships take much more detail than a system. And btw as Wolf misunderstood it takes 45 hours to make 3 good systems not just one.

Marsflier Debate - Angel - 03-01-2006

Guys, this is about the marsflyer, not how long it takes to build a system.
