All the systems we police have Gallic bases in so I don't see your issue. We also provide reinforcements for GRN forces in Leeds when needed, a Gendarmerie is a military force afterall.

Not in the US or Western Europe. I'm not entirely sure are about warzone areas. I suspect they actually do.

Totally besides the point: We do see plenty of police in armored vehicles. In Western Europe too. Riot squad anyone??? We threw that failed COP15 UN conference in my city a few years back, and there were lots of these armored vehicles around. Helicopters and other fancy gear too. Also look at the slavic countries (Serbia for instance) and see the gear their police is flaunting - it would almost put US Spec Ops to shame.

And yes once again, look up the gendarmerie. They are hardcore.

Also GRP ID limit ship use to cruisers, so I don't think they have a Valor, and if they do, it is surely an RP-device (floating command centre etc.).

Police factions - Loken - 02-08-2012

We had a Valor a long time ago using a GRN ID (under Dab's instruction I believe) but we got rid of it because we thought it was stupid.

As far as I am aware it only ever turned up to one battle in the Tau's which must have been at least 4 months ago.

Police factions - Hone - 02-08-2012

BPA goes into tau 31 when needed, and we might pursue into 23 or 29, but I dont think we have any business PATROLLING those systems.

At least once I saw 2 GRP| tagged cruisers + bomber invading leeds with no GRN in the area at all, haven't got any shots but you might want to know.
Not that I mind, just seems weird considering what you just said.

PS: Congratz on officialdom.

PPS: About GRN Valor, I remember something along the lines of "Ile-de-Dab"

I was there for that. All the GRN had died/ran away and we were left there alone.

Thank you.

Yes, Dab told us to do it.

And how about OORPly?

Why is the GRP the only police faction profiting from war activity, while the others must endure the warning notices praying for traders and pirates to go to their houses?

By the way:
' Wrote:Well, just to throw an example, BPA, as opposed to GRP, does not have access to Cruisers nor bombers (or at least I never saw any)
All police factions can use cruisers now, as of the 4.86 ID changes.

For the topic at hand, personally, I think it depends on the individual scenarios. GRN is invading the Taus and Bretonia, and so it sends the Royal Gendarmerie in to police the newly-annexed space as the GRN pushes forward. The same could have been done for the KSP, I guess. Kusari was claiming the Taus in 4.85, so the State Police could have moved forward to police the new "Kusari" systems. This kind of happened, when we claimed that Tau 29 was 100% Kusari-controlled space, and the KSP was allowed to patrol that one system. But we never got close enough to the front lines to fight the Bretonians. And of course, for the BPA, the fighting was always at their front door. They're well within their rights to push back the invaders.

For Liberty and Rheinland, neither side seems to be making any progress in "claiming" space. They were at a stalemate in Bering/Hudson in 4.85, and (as far as I know) things are the same in 4.86. If one House were to completely gain control of either Bering or Hudson and claim it as House space, I could see them moving in their police. But that doesn't seem to be happening.

I've read it all, but I don't see the difference.

Those GRP acting as gerdarmines (mind the spelling) are nothing different, for the matter, than KPTs, MNDs, MI6's with Police IFF.

Thing is, all the house military factions are allowed the same things.

All the house police factions should be allowed the same things.

Now, I'm not saying GRP shouldn't be there, I'm saying that KSP, RFP, BPA and LPI should be allowed the same freedom.

I'd go checking the infocards and rumors, but I believe, as you all have proved, that you lot are more informed than me, so...

All that info regarding the GRP in the front of war, is available in game or was created by the player faction?

EDIT:

Dingo, please keep this thread free of sarcasm of any kind. While it probably wasn't your intention, your last post sounded close to mockery, Thank you.
