People shouted for courts of law and trials and such, now they're shouting that they're not what they thought they'd be.
What, you think anybody here can write a full law document? Is that really what you want? People already complain that there's too much to read, and further, you spent the entire time calling into question the integrity of the judges.
I don't think I'd want you as my lawyer, Reptile. That attitude would just put me in jail.
And yes, you can charge Liberty 50 billion credits for whatever you like. The likelihood of you getting it rests with the power you have over the other party, as it does with all things. Rheinland and Kusari and Bretonia can do it too. In fact, anybody can, it's just the houses that are likely to be most successful.

This thread is about the lack of laws available on the forums and how this renders Court cases based on such laws obselete.
If you want to slander a faction, please use the appropriate feedback threads Admin.
Point still stands that without any laws publicly available, how can anyone even attempt to defend themselves?
Seriously, there are defenses for everything. Technicalities that lessen sentences, that can even break trials.
The reason I'm poking about it is because I was involved in such a situation and that situation has been poked further recently.

That is somewhat true, though if such a thing happened and I saw it I'd do a similar thing. The only real difference is that I was involved in this case personally.
I really do enjoy debates and these sort of arguments but I hate them when they are a no-win situation from the start. There is just no point in taking part if the goal posts are constantly moved.

Yes, roleplay consequences are fantastic, hence why I fought to avoid the CR being sunk in that court case.
If Liberty decided to enforce it's laws with armed backup, I would be entirely for reflecting that in the mod.
However, is it alright for me to say that the CR planted a 500 megaton nuclear bomb on Manhattan and will detonate it?
I mean, there is no proof of it, just what I say.
