Most people play this game to get away from their usual life, and everything it comes with. Sometimes, this game ends up being a way of relieving their stress. Sometimes in a bad way.
And Bret's been around here for quite a while now. After a while, you get to know people more than just 'the guy behind the monitor'. Even in a 'cold' environment as the Internet, people do end up sharing friendships.
So an apology may count more than it does at first glance.

To those people that are more than "just a guy behind a monitor" he could've apologized in person if they're such good friends. Public threads about how sorry you are are just for show and for the admins to see how sorry he is. It works, but it's nonsense.

Is this your definition of trolling? If so then I'm way off. To me, it's just a disagreement to what the others have posted in this tread, namely saying how it takes guts to do what he did. I disagree and am saying why is that the case. The posts in which I actually trolled, you removed. Fair deal I'd say.

Oh yes, he'll make the trip from the US to England to apologise to Del and then to France to apologise to me and then go back to USA.

Did I say even once there's no point in this thread? I just said the point is wrong. And hence, why I'm posting. I answered it the first time, so not really sure why you're insisting on going with that. To clarify, I feel apologizing on the forums is lame, but I did not say anything against that at first, I only claimed that I cannot comprehend as to why people say it takes guts.
