Apart from begging... too much money too fast makes the game boring, people need a challenge to stay with it. I dont like giving more than 100k to people, or if I like them I will buy a fighter, but everytime I have done that they have quit the game very soon after.

Sure it's imaginary money in the end but there's two types of begging. First of all you got the annoying green spam like "Hey, I poor. Can you give money?" that sometimes doesn't stop after you told them nicely to stfu.
On the other hand there's inRP begging, a severely damaged Starflea that can't afford repairs. Coming to that I'm glad to give them 2-3 millions.
So mainly: Ignore the ones begging, there's enough possibilities to get your hand on credits.

Giving someone money causes them to miss out on the critically important "trading as a poor person" part of the game.
By "helping" someone and giving them a few million you're actually hurting them in the long run.
