Massive thing near Sun - Syrus - 05-16-2012 Sorry. Why do you film me, drinking from the sun? That isn't very nice, you know. Should've asked before uploading that... Massive thing near Sun - Vulkhard Muller - 05-16-2012 ' Wrote:[color=#FFFFFF]And thus humanity discovered the solar flares... this is Very simply put a Solar flare wich is to be expected with the Solar climax coming later this year and rolling into 2013 Massive thing near Sun - ophidian - 05-16-2012 Yeah, I saw this a few days ago. What is more interesting is that, right after a user realized it and posted the video on Youtube, NASA started shutting down all their video footage and such, going completely dark. Some experts also said that the video looks genuine. THEY.ARE.COMING. My guess is that our puny civilization bumped into a derelict spacecraft caught in the gravity field of the Sun and our tech. is nowhere near capable to tow it out yet. So we are simply "staring at the sun" and *sighing* EDIT: Oh and there is another video showing that thing in much more detail, It is NOT a solar flare, you can easily make it out. If I can find that video, I will post it, appearantly, it is being removed from the net with precision. Most of the news websites having it now don't. EDIT 2: http://www.haberturk.com/dunya/haber/74155...zliyor-mu-video It is in Turkish but you can see the caption. This is the video that freaked out NASA and the men in black. Massive thing near Sun - Curios - 05-16-2012 Suns are overrated Massive thing near Sun - r3vange - 05-16-2012 [color=#FFFFFF]The Sun - Because landing on Earth became boring since the humans invented Photoshop in the late 80s Massive thing near Sun - Sol - 05-16-2012 MASSIVE THING near THE SUN omg omg omg Massive thing near Sun - Knjaz - 05-16-2012 ' Wrote:THEY.ARE.COMING. Relax. Anyone that has enough tech to get into this forsaken place we're in, is advanced enough to cleanse this planet in the matter of minutes. Resistance is futile. Massive thing near Sun - SeaFalcon - 05-16-2012 lol I'm a ant. Massive thing near Sun - Cris - 05-16-2012 coronal cavity Massive thing near Sun - Jihadjoe - 05-16-2012 Okay, slight topic serve... An alien race with technology so advanced as to be able to gently carress the surface of suns, to travel lightyears across space... Such a group would probably be only interested in us as a rather bizarre social study on primative life forms, some of whom seem incapable of tying their own shoelaces properly. Their collective reaction probably would not involve the words "cleanse" or "purge", but would be more along the lines of "d'awwww... cute". The same sort of reaction we have when we watch a cat endearingly falling off a table. We have an incredible tendancy towards overestimating our importance... Of course, if an alien race saw our rather resource-light planet (we're already considering looking off-world for certain things), and us living on it, and decided that we were some sort of irrational galactic threat, they'd probably be the sort of idiots who wouldn't have got as far as interstellar travel in the first place... In other words, a bit like us. Of course, if you're dumb enough to believe that sun-thingymabob is some sort of crazy alien doo-dah, then you're probably also the sort of person who thinks the first alien race that comes across us in the vastness of space (big wide eyes, oversized forehead, daft little arms, looking like a mutated human, of course) is just gonna go "LOL I KEEEL U" as well... So, here's to bad sci-fi. |
