Ah, so it was you I stumbled upon, daedalus.
Didn't actually know if you were attacking me or all the hostile fighters around me...
If I had known you were shooting at me, I would have shot back and given you a fight. You did actually remove alot of my shield, with some help from the other NPCs. :)

I wish people would try to pirate me, running the routes with no action gets boring after a while.
Of course that gives me license to blow them to pieces, but that's half the fun.

I can attest to the attempt at blowing me up. The only reason you wern't blowed up is because those transport turrets can't hit anything! Try as I may, I can't hit kill you! I think I took down your sheilds once, but you fixed it up right away. So, basicly I had no impact on you, and you had just about none on me.

I have a couple pirate affiliated chars, none of them are entirely legit as far as equipment goes though..... couple cruiser missiles here, couple gunship forward guns there....
If you want to form a legitimate pirate wing i'd me more than happy to start another eagle w/nomads account and have some fun. The (very few) times i tried to act like a NPC pirate and attack chars that were factioned against me they just whined about it.
I'll be taking a couple day break to go try the battlezone v4 mod, but i don't imagine that it will hold my attention for very long. Certianly nothing will be able to replace Discovery! :-D

Interestingly, bandersnatch seemed to acquire the Navy tag by running a few missions for them early on for quick cash. I soon turned pirate, but kept the Navy tag for a while longer even though they hated me! I might try doing this with a new character and a different faction.
I believe you can tell when you have a tag by the faction at the very bottom of the list flashing. You will need to do things to annoy the Navy, to the point that they really hate you, in order to lose the tag. Don't worry, you can make up with them later. It's not just the tag though that makes you appear hostile - you could just try and make yourself neutral to as many factions as possible, and more players would appear neutral to you. You wouldn't have to lose the tag to do this, I don't think.
I don't really understand fully how the tag system works, maybe someone here does. I've tried to gain criminal tags, like 'Corsair - bandersnatch', which would be cool, but haven't been succesful. Maybe a character only gets one chance at a tag. I've never really paid that much attention to tags before.

I'll be making a fighter account [A]Firestarter which will have osiris battleship guns, missile turret, and battleship shields on a sabre.
It will be allies with almost all pirate gangs too.

You can't put BS shields on a Sabre. And if you buy BS guns to put on your fighter, you're likely wasting your money since that won't be doable soon.
