Alaska Opinion Poll - Nysquist - 05-06-2008 Is it posible that we leave some of the questions do be decided by The liberty High Command? The most Senior commanders in Liberty Navy and LSF. Say if the bounty hunter are allowed t be in alaska or not? I mean, if high command doesn't want the bounty hunter in alaska they wouldn't even enter by minor, but if they are payed to be there the bounty hunters should stay. Alaska Opinion Poll - MB52 - 05-07-2008 The biggest problems isn't a matter of guarding it, its impossible to guard it all the time. Its the OORP idiots who use it like a freeway. Why does every trader/smuggler know the codes? why do the NPCs not arrest/destroy them for entering? The only factions that should be really allowed through without being shot at are, Navy/LSF and bountyhunters. Actually this is exactly what we need the guard NPCs for. With that said, I think Guard NPCs with train disrupters and a stationary battleship/weapon platforms (that do ALOT of damage) would be good. I wonder also, if you can make the alaska gate slower to open? This could simulate hacking the codes or inputting the codes, while the player is forced to wait a minute or more for the gate to warm up.... While they are sitting there, it lets the npcs/player factions react. Right now its WAY too easy for a transport to simply speedock with the gate and take no damage. Can you give me a link to that, since I never heard anything to the effect of the Northern Liberty Navy dissolving (and if they did, and the Southern Liberty Navy took over, they'd be called the Liberty Navy) The current SA status states they are the Southern Navy that patrol the Southern Systems. Alaska Opinion Poll - Xing - 05-07-2008 I say, all liberty ships with a good reason enough and with a permission of the LSF AND SA. I hardly see why anyone else would even have authorisation to go in. BHG is the most ridiculous thing in the system, so get rid of that thing, that doesnt have its place in it, but not at all... They lack any jurisdiction over the place, it would be like the Iraqi Army coordinating rescue operations in New Orleans. Constant patrolling Alaska is not an option, since traders just use a lull time on the server to go through z21 when no lawfuls are around.... that's shouldn't be taken as an exploit... it's just OORP. Also argue as you like but in real terms, there is no way a civilian/trader/whoever can ever get to a heavily fortified military area... the only ones who can get are militaty (obvious) and certain operatives (with permission ) and spies (maybe the order in this case). Physically there may be a lack of players guarding z21, but that shouldn't be taken as an excuse to enter the zone in your trader! The system is nigh guard-status, and frankly, it's like an equivalent of Area 51 in the US. Interesting point in a recent RP by Ka'saphec-Na, the gate probably has a keycode on it that changes quite often to prevent people from getting in. Only those with clearance would be allowed in. For those with the argument: "Well, it was here in the first place, why am I not allowed in?" In SP, the gate was locked. The gate's there, and it's a part of RP. Going through it might just as well be sanctionable. Question 2 DA BASE! The undockable base! Just like one of those guard towers outside Gitmo! In fact, here's my suggestion. Since the Alaska gate really should not be open to all on terms of RP, make the base a Navy guard base. This way, anyone who does not have "Clearance" (Navy Rep) will get blown away. I'd probably give the base around the same firepower as a Bretonian Stationary Battleship. Question 3: Get rid of the bounty hunters. They were in vanilla, but frankly, the idea that a Guild, aka, a UNION of random bounty hunters, can field so many members into random parts of Sirius is appalling to me. (order+recruits included, we usually let people who are creating a ship enter Alaska) 2 ) Forget about putting patrols in the Minefield,....suicide rates will skyrocket. But we can put a non-dockable base or BS as long as it doesn't mess the SP if Igiss wants to keep it. 3 ) Get rid of Bounty Hunters Guild NPC's (think about it, the LPI, doesn't even know about it, why should the BHG know?) Liberty Battleships/Dreadnoughts at the Gate (see n.2) Make all Liberty NPC's (Guard) type (see conditions in n.2) ---- Replace the minor JH by a JH to a nomad world (which would make any possible trade routes from Gamma not lucrative) but keep Order patrols (maybe add a base(hidden) as said before) ---- Zone 21 = Area 51,,, don't forget that |
