Well, that might be a possibility. But since I havent touched my FreeLancer installation (save to update to the latest version of the mod) since I installed it, I doubt it.
Also, my account is still there. There just isnt any characters there

Hmm, weird, very weird. FreeLancer seems to have completely disappeared from my Start Menu. Now, why is that? Doesnt it usually have a Menu entry allowing you to examine your user accounts?
I think Ill try re-installing the game, just in case
Reinstalls FreeLancer
Enters old account code
Installs mod
Starts FreeLancer
Still no characters on the server And still no Start Menu entry Strange
Anyway, the three characters I lost were:

How exactly did we lose all of these chars? I dont really understand it... Was it just some freek accident?

Well, a month ago my ISP, for some as of yet unknown reason, decided to suddenly remove my connection. After about 3 weeks I finally got on again, only to find that my characters are all gone.
I read the notice that there was going to be a deletion of inactive characters, but thought nothing more of it since all my characters were on-line at various times throughout March and so shouldnt have been affected.
I mailed Igiss about it a week ago, but havent received any answer. So, when my friend xit mentioned that he had also lost all his characters and others here on the forum talked about losing characters, I posted about my troubles as well, hoping that perhaps Igiss or Wolfpack can figure out whats going on

I was active on my chars so that they wouldnt get deleated... AND i had made the char that was deleated not too long ago so its not really posible for it to get deleated....

Well i really sympathise with the guys that lost chars.
It happenned to kiggles too and he didnt uninstall FL either.
Now I know how much time he put into those chars and its probably the same for the other guys.
I think that this is unfortunate BUT, as its not a clientside problem, is anyone getting compensated for their loss?

Well, as I had nearly 500 million credits in those three characters, compensation would be nice. But its not my first priority here
The most important thing, to me at least, is to find the source of this problem. What good is compensation when characters just disappear at random?

Guys, if the accounts exist on the server, then it's most definitely client side. NOT server side.
Trust me on this one. Igiss can verify that.
